I am aiming this question toward anyone who has a playstation console.
Are there any classic adventure game point n clicks available on PSN?
If so, do you have any clue as to their success and sales?

Do such games have a chance to sell? on PSN Is there a market?

Also, what do they charge for such games on PSN in general, and how many hours gameplay do people get/expect?

I am pretty sure that you can get the Monkey Island special editions, and the MI stories and Sam n Max games (even though not classic) on there.
I tried a Sam and Max demo and it seems ok but definatly nothing like playing it on a PC.

So if you are about to buy a PS3 I would not buy it to play those games on it.

Both MI special editions are on there.

Season 3 of the Telltale Sam and Max is on there also, but the controls for that are not "traditional" point 'n' click - even on PC it's clear they have been aimed towards a console audience.

I also think Tales of Monkey Island may be on there, but I, shamefully, have still not played them. So...no comment?

Of course, I have no idea about sales, which is what you asked. Rendering this post null and pointless?

For what it's worth, I reckon smaller games can find their audience more easily these days because of services like Steam, PSN and XBLA. Whether that includes adventure games, I cannot say for sure.

MI2:SE isn't too bad in HD. The PSN only games are more 'indie' feeling than commercial games, in the way that they are trying something different. The people that buy them are more open minded i guess, so there may be a market.

Ok thanks for the info yall! It's all interesting.
Any ideas regarding how much they charge for these things? And how much gameplay do people get for their money?

In my own experience, playing a P&C game on a console is not easy, nor recommended. The only games--to my knowledge--to have tried it on the PS1 were Clock Tower I & II, and those did not exactly succeed. It is also true, however, that the MYST games were ported to the PS1 (and Revelations to the Xbox), but I do not know how well they fared. Dreamfall and Still Life were also ported to the Xbox, but I highly doubt that the P&C control scheme was kept.

Doubt if falls into the cathegory of "classic" but still there's a very good off-beat horror adventure game called Echo Night for PS1. Since it's one of my all time favourites I would recommend it. If you like mysterious atmosphere and mystical stuff I definitely recommend it.
