Title: Backgrounds in Photoshop
Post by: adam100 on Thu 15/01/2004 20:54:50
I want to make background for my game in Adobe Photoshop but i don't seem to be able to save it in the right format.I save it simply in bmp. and the game shows black background when i import it.I noticed that when i open the game in paint shop and save it as 256 color bmp it works but my game is in hi-color not 256 color-so why is it like that?Does AGS work with 16,24,32 bit bmp?If yes then how is it that they don't work for me?

Have you tried saving in another format? Try PCX or PNG..

Also, remember to import backgrounds with the regular "import" button.. NOT the import w/ exact palette button. That's only for 256 color games.

You must save the bmp in 24bits with Photoshop to be compatible with AGS, maybe that's the problem.
