Title: Backup Trauma
Post by: Rui 'Trovatore' Pires on Tue 12/04/2005 16:17:08
I got this in today's Al Lowe's Cyberjoke.

"Here is ex-Python John Cleese in one of the most elaborate web ads ever. Who would think that you could come up with anything at all funny about using hard drives instead of tape to back up your data? Cleese, that's who!http://www.backuptrauma.com/video/default2.aspx"

I think this means the company has a lot of money. Companies with a lot of money can always be trusted.

Heh. And today, Cyberjoke sent me THIS:

QuoteYesterday's John Cleese video generated a lot of attention. Several of you noticed Michael Dorn, who played Lt. Worf on Star Trek TNG, was one of the featured players. But CyberJokester Moishe wins the daily double! He found two hidden "bonus laughs." The first clue was a message in the IBT main hallway that read, "While taking a tour of the institute, see if you can find the hidden video clip." And he did. In Room 2 ("Diagnosis"), a mouse runs across the floor. As soon as it stops beneath the patient's foot, click it and you'll see the first bonus: Cleese giving a messed up "thank you" speech. The second bonus is easier (perhaps): a single frame (located where the time code counter reads 5:46.618) that belittles those who find it for having no life!

If you want to go back and look for these on your own, here's yesterday's link:
http://www.backuptrauma.com/video/default2.aspx
If you don't want to do it the hard way, here is direct link to the "thank you" video:
http://www.backuptrauma.com/video/LV_Cleese_Speech.html

Now for something completely different. (Recognize that seque?) CyberJokester Sylvia Sprot passes along what can be done when you have a lot of coins and even more time. Be sure to follow the links to the other "coin stacking web sites." Who knew?
