This seems to be the most appropriate forum for this question, although it is about the forums themselves rather than AGS or adventure games.
I have a banner in my signature but I never see it in my postings. Klaus says he can see it. Here is the (deliberately broken) BBC for it:
[ center][ url=http://www.freewebs.com/paoloags/][ img]http://img518.imageshack.us/img518/452/bannerfh1.gif[ /img][ /url][ /center]
and the code without the spaces after the open square brackets works correctly if I put it in this post and then preview it, but not when I actually post it.
So what do I need to do to make it show up for me? Can anyone else see it at the bottom of this posting?
Thanks, and apologies for the noise.
I can see it. I've always been able to see it. And I use IE.
I allways see it, too.

No, so I'll move it to Gen. Gen.
OK, thanks for moving this thread to the right forum.
Thanks for letting me know that it is showing up. I wonder why the banner doesn't show up for me? I'm using Firefox. Odd. Anyway, it's not too much of a big deal if others can see it OK.
Do you see anyone's signatures? There's an option in your profile preferences to hide signatures, you might have set that.
Yes, I do see other people's signatures. "Don't show users' signatures." is not checked in my preferences.
Firefox, Trance-pacific, visible.
Imageshack tends to be slow for some people, try hosting your banner somewhere else and try if you see it.
At the risk of stating the obvious, you may have a firewall-related application that blocks that particular site, or you may have a browser hijack. Try an adkiller if you haven't already.
Do you run Adblock Plus in Firefox? Or a third-party ad block service? That could be affecting what gets displayed, expecially if your banner is actually called "banner.gif". Try renaming it to something else.
Thanks, Radiant, LimpingFish, that was it. I hadn't thought of that. I use McAfee, and it was set to block adverts on websites.
I could however already see both of your banners fine - how do you host yours?

Just avoid naming it "banner.*" or "Header.*" or any words that may be picked up by various ad blocking software. I only found out after people said they couldn't see the download banner on my site.
Turns out that Adblock Plus, which a lot of Firefox users have, was killing it because I had named it, that's right, "Banner.jpg". :)
