Dear all,
We are writing a book about Maniac Mansion that will be published at The University of Michigan Press in 2014. It would be very helpful for us to hear about your experience in adventure game, and especially Maniac Mansion.
The purpose of the Landmark video Games book series (http://www.press.umich.edu/browse/series/UM166) is to provide an interesting and accessible introduction to the most important video games. Insofar as video games are, along with novels and film, part of the nowadays cultural landscape. The series will be opened to all video games, no matter the genre and the platform. It will illuminate the games for a cultural approach and concentrate on the specific elements of the medium.

Trying to fill out your interview. "If so, when did you first played to Maniac Mansion?" translates to, "When did you first play Maniac Mansion" (date?), doesn't it?
You're not the team behind the paper, "Live Hypernarrative and Cybercartography: You Are Here, Now" are you? I just ordered a copy of that for potential citation in my dissertation.
Tramponline: Hey thanks a lot, the syntax error is gone ;)
Eric: No sorry, we are not behind this paper, but it looks very interesting!
Filled out the interview- best of luck with that book!
I contributed as well. Hope you get enough people for a representative poll ;)
