42mb? And you say you're on dial-up?

AlbinoPanther

Yes and we downloaded several files biger than 120mb.

109mb for two days since we reinstalled windows.

This 42mb worth every byte

I wouldn't say it's very much worth it. If you have dial-up and you really find this a burden to download, I would advise not to. It's nothing special. It's just a mesh of video clips of 3D bookpages and documents in an obscure language somehow relating to the game. While we fly over these pages, pieces of text appear on the screen, mostly credits, maybe some story-related stuff (I can't remember). It's doesn't show anything of the actual game itself. It's very much like the teaser trailer for Broken Sword 4 if you ever saw it. I downloaded a 200 meg version of that trailer, only to discover it was exactly the same as the 5 meg 2-minute page/document flyover I had already seen on the BS4 flash site that coincidentally shows no gameplay elements at all.

I really don't think it's that great at all, okay so it looks pretty nice but it's just a book with some credits.
I was expecting to see a real intro instead of some credits.

Then thanks for watching it so I don't have to!

The tech demo looks superb and slick, except that George looks way out of place. They really need to redraw him.

Mordalles

ive checked out the website, but the screenshots they show on their website are just screenshots of the actual broken sword games. are they doing theyre own work for the game?

No they're not mate. They're all either reworks or completely original.

LGM

Wait wait. Obscure language? It's German!
You. Me. Denny's.

I can't remember much about it anymore. Looked like some old scripture so I left it at that. I wasn't exactly enthusiastic about the contents after seeing what the trailer was all about.

Same. Trailers like that annoy me. Just like the first trailer of The Da Vinci Code. Real footage damnit!

i can see nico's apartment is a rework, but its just copied from bs 1. the other 3 looks like they come directly out of bs 1.
They took familiar locations from the actual BS games and pimped them a bit. You know, sharpness, gradient, blur, new chars, some misc stuff.

BTW, in the demo, the piece of blurred cupboard in the forgeground is actually exactly the same as in the Irish pub in BS1, only mirrored.
