Camtasia Studio 3.1.3 has been released for free:

Download it and install, with the software key that you will get from here:

To my knowlegde it actually works with AGS! :o And it is free and legal!

This is a stupid post, you might as well have googled it.

But for everyone else, its just another screen capture/record tool. Thanks for the link, Ill probably download it and check it out later.

It's a screen capture tool mainly, but also can produce various movies and formats and can add music, etc. For a free program it's excellent!

If one's too lazy to google there's always LOGIC to consider

1) Camtasia Studio contains a word 'Cam' short of 'camera'. So it's likely to have something to do with cameras (thing used to record a video).
2) Nikolas is a musician so Camtasia Studio is probably NOT a professional film editing program like Adobe Premiere or similar.
3) This not a movie making community forum, so this results in same as in #2
4) Since Camtasia Studio is not a physical camera but software, it's reasonable to think it records its video in a different way. Screen capture maybe?
5) Since the name contains a word 'Studio', it's reasonable to think there are other features too besides recording a video. Maybe like adding sound here and there and similar.
6) Now, think what would AGS games have to do with all this?
7) Right, you can record playing your AGS game to a video file and create a demo video eg or whatever.

Ok!

I understand perfectly what Matt, means. I mean I wouldn't click on random links, no matter who the poster is (because we know each other with Matt), unless I knew what it was about.

Now, googling takes less time than posting here, so it might be preferable, and since google is someone you don't really "know" then the links are kinda as valid as a link given by me.

Anyways, I admit that I should explain a bit what Camstasia is.

Okay then Eigen! Lets get it on!

1)CAM is also some kind of programming tool for 3d stuff in CAD, so why would I presume it's going to be for cameras?
2) I'm an amateur musician and manage a shop. Yet I have Adobe premiere on my computer!
3) No it's an adventure game forum, but it wasnt about adventure games directly, either.
4) Having presumed it's a studio for CAM, perhaps it has some kind of GUI instead of plain old code language, heck I don't really know what CAM does!
5) Perhaps the joining of the word "Stasia" and "Cam" didn't actually make it all that clear what it could be, and it could be a foreign word for all I know. And besides, I just asked because I was in no hurry to find out what it was, and STUPOT, I did click on the link first, but realised it was just for a download for the exe file. So didn't think about clicking the second link. If I haven't got the mystery program yet, why would I want the serial code for?
6) Now, how many topics in the gen gen thread bare relevance to the adventure part of the forum?

Nik, I tried the program, it's a lot faster to use than Premiere, in the sense that it doesnt drain my pc's resources as quickly. It's obviously nowhere as good as premiere, but it's functional. Although I couldn't find a copy and paste function for trimmed video clips! Shocking! Quite good for free though, and it has it's uses. Thanks!
