Title: Can you make 3D backgrounds?
Post by: on Wed 31/03/2004 21:02:26
I'm interested to know if anyone is able to make 3D backgrounds at all? There was a time when I'd make backgrounds and images with Bryce 3D and Vue D'espirit, (puh, Lost In Paradise, what was that all about ^_^) but found I had less and less time to make them.

Heres a few examples of earlier stuff I made;

Why you ask! Well, I have several unfinished first person adventures made with Delphi that I never managed to finish because I didn't have time to program it and do all the backgrounds (which were crap anyway :D) so I'm interested to work on a small first person adventure project with someone. And no, I'm not making a new Myst game ;)

I'm also just generally interested in anyone that works with a 3D moddler to create backgrounds, so if you want to post them up in this thread feel free. Let me know!

m0ds

PS - sorry for a billion new threads.

Are you ever going to start a project after finishing your last one, Mark?
No offence, but I think you should really finish one of your previous projects instead of taking up new ones - I'd love to see a christmas tale, for example, finished.

Vel, the reason most of my projects cease to be is because teams disintigrate over the internet so often, and I have no control of it. If I was any good at art, you'd probably see quite a few finished projects from me.

Anyway, shutup. This is different. I already have an engine pretty much programmed. :P

As for A Christmas Tale.. again, I was doing the artwork for it and wasn't enjoying drawing it at all. There will be a time when I'm going to start taking some art lessons, but that time is not now. Anyway, you've made me go off topic!1

I've been making characters for a 3d game I'd like to make, but not any backgrounds yet. If anyone wants to see something awesome, message me on MSN and I'll send you a scene from a MI remake someone was working on (and quit working on). It's really cool, done totally in Blender using the internal game engine.
