i am always curious what kind of cars people drive. I would like to know what AGS users cars are. If you own a car, tell me what it is. I have a 1997 Chevy Lumina with 104,000 miles.
haha, my car sucks. not as much as CJ's maybe, it not very good.
I own a robin's egg blue oldsmoblie cutlass supreme, 1985. That car was made before I was. My older sister didnt take it with her when she went to uni, so I got it. Its ugly, its old, it smells, but it runs.
Its just as well. I dont "techniacally" even have my drivers licence yet. soon though...soon.

Sorry about the big pic, but believe it or not, this is THE only pic of the car I could find on all the internet... It's a limited edition, 25th anniversary model.

heh, potty training on wheels! "Lois- I did it!"
I drive a massive 1993 ford Aerostar, which I'll get rid of pretty soon in order to get a car more... college-y.
If you don't know what a ford aerostar looks like, mine looks like this one:
I drive a '90 Honda Accord. Also own an '87 Civic Wagon and a '72 VW Type 3 (?) square back. The VW's a restoration project that I haven't started yet.
I have a BMW.
Bus, Metro, Walk.

i really should learn how to drive...
I hate public transportation. Private transportation is good though.
I got a sexy '95 Nissan Pulsar..
This was my last car:
And the brown one is what I have, but I would like it to be black like the one on the left:
Too bad I can't afford a paint job :(
/me robs everyone who has a car.
Nevermind, I don't have a driving license anyway. :P
Currently drive a '94 Nissan Sentra, and sorely miss my '91 Range Rover and '00 Nissan Maxima.

Yeah, see, mine is blue
And, my next car...
My first car was a '84 Mazda 323, red (goes faster) I got that in '94 and it died in '98 in the middle of the express way between Sydney and Newcastle.
I just recently sold my precious '74 Toyota Corolla, poo brown, still original (pretty good for a 29 year old car) it was sad to see it go, but It started to get a bit of rust and I didn't think it would pass it's rego in September. Damn it I can't find a photo of it. It had done 180,000km (which isn't much in that time) It was my second car, I got it in '98.
I bought an '89 Daihatsu Charade, which is a small car, it's silver, gets from A to B, economical and reliable. I just put in some new speakers and amplifier. Makes driving around much more pleasurable. I love driving, and would love to be able to just drop everything and Drive to North Queensland.
I don't know how I'd handle not having a car.
I was driving a '99 Chrysler Sebring but it was my ex-wife's and she stopped making payments and got the thing re-possessed. Now, humbly driving an '88 toyota Celica Turbo-all wheel drive.. black. I also have an '86 Fiero I wouldn't mind fixing up (needs clutch work).
Did that hurt your credit standings? That sucks man.
I drive my mother's Mazda Lantis 323 year 2003.
I drive a '98 Ford Focus in metallic "Frozen Aqua". We call it "Iceberg". It's currently full of rusk crumbs.
Hehe, I drive a '90 Rover 214, kinda like the following, only with more rust, bird crap and tape:

Like that but white...
I drive a corolla seca '89. It goes.
i like my car and all, but with over 104,000 miles, the mechanical problems are starting to creep up on me. I have had it worked on many times in the last month. I am just glad that i know a mechanic who has been working on my car for a lot less than most mechanics. Too bad i don't have a pic.
we have a 91 citroen ax 998cc thing, black and rust colour, its quite good really petrol seems to be optional with it! its just returned from a 600mile round trip to london, thundering down the M1, 80mph+ with an egg shaped tyre! if that had blown out..... :-\
With the $500 dollars I have saved working during the summer I have bought a 77' station wagon, I have painted it orange with spray paint, removed the back fender, replaced it with a large block of wood, cut the seats covers, taped them back up,and put a pick axe throught the trunk..I'm going to use that as my ride to prom. :) I can't wait!
alone?
No self respecting girl would want to go to her third most important date in her life in something like that.
It would be different if thats how it came and thats all you could do, but intentionally, heck no.
Well, I HAD a dark red 1989 Pontiac Grand Am LE with over 170,000 miles on it... I loved that car... but then I hit a deer with it...
Now, I drive a grey 1989 Pontiac 6000 LE with about 70,000 miles on it... and I hate that car and wish I could hit a deer with it.
My stepdad has a black 1968 Charger sitting in our barn... it could use some body work and some re-upholstering, but I'd love to have that car... even if it only gets about 10 miles to the gallon... either that or a GTO Judge.
Phhfft, shows how much you know, I allready have a lady to go with me! (not my mom)
Now where do people find all these cars?
Being a student, I think I'll be able to buy a car in 2005, provided I start saving up now
My first car was an 85 bmw 320 i that my sister got impounded when she got arrested, I bought it out of the impound yard for $600....Then the driveline broke...yay, foreign parts!
Now I drive a 74 dodge dart and a 98 pontiac sunfire....
And the coolest car so far was aga's

If you're asking that with my post in mind... this is the farm country of Wisconsin, everybody has about 17 cars or trucks sitting in their yard, whether they work or not. Automobiles are dirt cheap out here, you'll always find someone selling a beater for about $100 because it's got something wrong with it or it has too many miles on it.
The same goes for South Dakota, you can get a car for 100 bucks easy. My brother-in-law is the king of cars that don't work...likes to acquire them for some reason. No, he's not a mechanic(yah he claims to be but just isn't) and doesn't fix them up. Everyone thinks my Thunderbird is the bestest car in the whole world cuz it was made in the 90's(what a treat!). LOL. ^^ And everyday I look at it and go...ugh...I need a newer car.
Panda: Well ebay is a good place to start. You would have to get it a head of time but not to much. Thrift stores work too. Or you could do it like this one couple in the area... Purple suit and white swing dress... in duct tape... ;)
I don't have any sort of vehicle (mainly because I don't have my license. Shut up!!), but this is what I want:
And this is what I want it to look like:

If I had a Toyota Hiace or was promised one, I would so get my license ASAP. They are beautiful.
Thats a nice model car on a real background...

Yes, I noticed that too. It's from an ebay auction of the Matchbox van. I don't know why they put it on a real picture.
this is what 1997 Luminas look like (looks like mine minus the rims)
i have just the normal hubcaps, not the special rims.
During summer classes I took, my mom allowed me to drive her Fiat Selecta :P. She's back to work, and now I only have to BMW. :(
I did have a 1988 Honda Crx Si...Which looked almost exactly like this..
But then My lovely Ex killed that...and it is sitting in her drive way probobly serving as a nice home for spiders and birds..
My primary mood of transportation now is my friends car..1991 Toyota Mr-2..We call him Senor Dos
(http://www.simplesystems.org/users/bfriesen/mr2.jpg)
Yep it is completely black even the interior. Yes the AC doesn't work. Yes I ride in 120 degrees for half an hour. Yes it sucks. :)

The top one is my color (there are two versions of red for the mustang, the bottom one is brighter and not mind), the bottom one has the same wheels as mine.
I have Kia Rio 2002, Suzuki Balleno 97, Hyundai Excell 93, and Ford Contour 98
How's this for a Zen moment: If a bird craps on a car but there's no-one around to see it, is the car really soiled at all?
Oh, also, what do you guys in the metric world call the mileometer? surely it's not a kilometermeter?
Odometer.
At points along the F3 there's signs saying "Odometer test, 500 metres", so you can test whether it's measuring what the RTA calls 5 km as 5km.
And when you're on a road that safe and ergo boring, you tend to test it.
Ah well, if the bird craps on the car and nobody is there to see it....you still see it later when you arrive. The car is still soiled. And what's worse, it's sitting there embracing crap whilest you diddle your wife. Shame.
Woohoo.. had to reincarnate an old thread. This is the first new (not used) vehicle I've purchased and I'm rather happy with it:
Like that but in a metallic blue.
Go Ford!
Go $2000 rebate! ;D
Go Ford?
Go Holden?
Go to bloody Summernats petrolwits.
If it didn't cost 25K, I might've been able to pick up a hybrid. I would've preferred it for its more environmentally-friendly fuel consumption (as well as less of a dent in my budget gas-wise) but couldn't afford one. Pure electric is terribly impractical still. As for Summernats... I figured you for more of an environmentalist, Las. Any car shown there would suck down $150-$200 in petrol per month, I'm sure.
Yay...
Cars...
I have a 1994 Saturn SL1. Here it is:
That's my parent's 2000 Honda Accord EX behind it.
My car is ok. It's my first. The hood has dents because of the previous owner, but the rest of the exterior is nice. The interior is ok, but kind of dirty here and there and the material from the roof was torn off. I paid $1,000 with money I made from work, and my dad paid the other $750 plus $300 or so for a new AC radiator and tires. It has 70K miles now. It was in the high end of 69K when I got it.
It has hardly any shocks left, so every little thing makes it bounce. It has a really annoying squeaky piece on the dashboard toward the passenger side that vibrates when I drive down bad roads.
I'll only have it for another 6 months or so. After that, we'll move away from Hawaii and I won't feel like paying the $800 or whatever to ship it.
Then I'm going to get a 1990 Mustang.
I failed my test first time and still haven't retaken it yet. Should I pass, a 1993 flame red 1.3i Mini Cooper with some lovely additions and some furry dice will finally get out of the garage and on to the road, with me behind the wheel. The heater matrix needs fixing/replacing, though. Argh.
I have a beat-up old Cheavy Pick-Up with a gas can and a chainsaw in the back. Now match that image up with any of the pictures of me floating around, and I belive the next words out of your mouth will be: "What the fuck??"

Hmmm... *thinks... imagines.....*
A federal agent driving a rustbucket S-10... that's a funny mental picture. ;)
...What happened to the suave, black Crown Victorias, Impalas, and Lincoln Towncars that the government supplies you with? Did Bush cut funding to the FBI er something? ;D
Don't mind me, Lex. I'm just giving you a hard time.
I just happened to stumble upon my old thread, and decided to bring it back from the dead.
The 1997 Chevy Lumina is still kicking. Over 108,000 miles now.
not mine, but this is what it looks like.

Going down in the world!
This is my car:
It's a Chevy Lumina, it has crank-down windows, seats that only move as a whole forward or backwards, a cassette playing stereo, and a steering wheel cover that cost more than the car itself.Ã, Inside the car you will find a bunch of wires connecting my portable CD/MP3 player to the stereo.Ã, It is one of my most prized possessions - I only payed $50 for it.Ã, I bought it from this poor old woman whose son had given it to her but suddenly didn't run anymore.Ã, Instead of having it fixed, she just up and put it on sale.Ã, I was happening to drive by when I saw it.Ã, When I confronted her and asked her to quote a price for it, she told me $50.Ã, Without a moments hesitation, I bought it and dragged it off to my house with my truck.Ã, Turns out, it just needed a new battery and she somehow wasn't able to figure that out.
Post a picture of your car, van or truck if you can and tell me all about it.
There's another thread about this that popped up a few weeks ago that was locked, unlocked, and forgotten.
I drive an '87 Honda Accord hatchback, no pictures, but if you search you can find some just like it. It's grey and it drives like a new car even though it's really old.
EDIT: I posted this before the threads were merged.
I didn't notice. Oh well.
I drive a 1989 Pontiac 6000, and it's the gayest car I've ever driven.Ã, Unfortunately, I'm stuck with it.
This isn't a picture of mine, but it looks pretty similar to mine.
