Ok, I've had Dualnames for like 6-7 years. It's a good nick but rather boring and of no sense. I'm seriously thinking of changing it. You think I should or not? i know this might be a little off topic /stupid as well, so don't kill me.
If you were to change it, you would have two nicknames, and should therefore call yourself Dualnicks.
;D
Or, just change it to...
Spoiler
Robocop
Never change your nick. I don't. I always use "Lionmonkey" everywhere. And if I forget about some sites, where I have signed, I just google "Lionmonkey" like this (http://www.google.com/search?client=opera&rls=ru&q=Lionmonkey&sourceid=opera&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8) to refresh my memory. Maybe, someday, people will even recognise it...
Anyway, if you do change your nick, you will face much bad stuff. First, you will have to re-register at all the forums and MMORPGs, or else you will have two nicks, which will turn you into a Schizophrenic. And if you wil decide to forget about the old one, then you will lose a big juicy piece of yourself forever. You can change the avatar, the signature, but never change the nick. It has gotten the sense through all these years, you have used it.
If you still are ultimately sick from it, you can "modify" it into "DN". But never choose another one!
Geez, I should be selling this stuff.
Jesus Christ, Lionmonkey, that sure is some weird thinking you got going there. Yes, changing nickname can be inconvenient, but "much bad stuff", "never change your nick"? I've had 6 nicknames since '99, finally settling for a shorter version of my third. I've had no issues with changing my nicks.
The only problem that even when I wasn't voh, people would call me voh anyway because they were used to it. So it turned out to be useless in forums I'd been frequenting a lot, but no 'much bad stuff' in other places where I wasn't a regular.
Jim "Dualnames" Span, this question is kind of unneccessary, you either feel you want to change your nickname or not. Whatever you choose, we have no choice but to follow. Besides, what does our opinion matter anyway? It's your nickname :)
I changed my nick from "Santiagro" and have never looked back ;)

Sorry, it's just a new religion, I'm making. I will pray for you.
I'm thinking about a nickname change too. I've used SilverTrumpet (and other variants) for so long, and I think it has kind of a nice ring to it, but it's largely inaccurate. I don't play a silver trumpet anymore. Mine's gold (and GoldenTrumpet...no). So I only want a new one out of boredom haha.
Some members on here who I don't see posting very often, I might remember them by their avatar, so if for example "Bluesman Ben" changed his avatar and posted again, I'd probably not recall them before. I might now Ive talked about them, of course, just an example.
I think this is why Dan N Gamez changed his name, to lose his reputation. But here I am referring to him by his old name still!
EDIT: Silvertrumpet: You dont even HAVE an avatar, so if you changed your name I wouldnt know who you are!
If you do go the name-changing route, you can try one of the several name generators out there. Like this one (http://www.rinkworks.com/namegen/).
Or you can choose the name of a random board or dice game. ;)
Well, I've been calling you Dunnamy at times. Use that. No-one really cares if it's stupid or not. I use my first name here, and not on any other forums, so none of you will find me anywhere, but I won't go changing it, but it's none of our business what you do with yours, so do as you will. :)
Eh? What did I miss?
Do you remember me, Matt?

No, of course not

Damn, I should've changed the avatar as well...
No, it's firsov_ivan.
Dualnames. Not back for a nick, I reckon. But... What about...
dualbot?
dualcore?
duality?
or maybe the other end?
nameshake
namesday
namely
etc... you get the picture. ;)
Aw heck, let's just all get this over with and simply trade names. Wow, wouldn't that be a fun confusing mess! ;D
Trading names? Wouldn't that be PIRACY???
Let's trade points of view and outlooks! It would be so more fun!
Lets all change our nicknames to "Dualnames"!
Yeah, what a way to foster community!
Ooh! ooh! Or we could all pick random syllables as our nicknames, so if you read down the "author" column in a thread it would spell out random nonsense words.
I'd say you should go ahead and change it. Your new name will probably fit you better.
LimpingFish since '89! Whooo!
Some of you people weren't even born! And Chris Jones was was still in short pants!
The same nick for eighteen years.
How sad (awesmoe) am I? :D
Nikolas since the day I was born! 30 years now!
Beat that limpfish! ;D

I like it.
HEY!
What's going on with the nicknames of SSH? (And mine) :=
Hahahaha!
You had me confused Fsi, until I looked at your profile and saw the long list of erm.. "budget label" games! Proves the point that I would have presumed you were a member I've never heard of though!
SilverTrumpet, thats better! Woop I've had influence on your forum activities! Go me!
Some readers of PSM3 magazine recognise my name, so it was a mistake to join the PSM3 forum as "ManicMatt", nobody knew who I was! Ah well...
Damn you SSH. Now I have to change my nicknames. By the way, you will soon be arrested by the police for using a registered nick without proper ... ::)
I was thinking of changing my name to something more different than Dualnames. I've found the ideal, the question remains not to what I'm gonna change my nick to but if I should change my nick or not.
EDIT: I'm gonna kill you all. Nicolas I know what you did last summer on these forums...
Call yourself "The lone headcase" ;D
I would laugh to that, but my sense of humour isn't so low.
EDIT:
I'm not changing nicks. To all those that took the liberty of changing their names to mine a deadline of 24 hours has been given. Then the manhunt begins...
Hmm, should I change my nick to dualnames too, since I currently use two nicks. And I love manhunts ;D
I've been calling myself Stupot since we first plugged our Dreamcast in and i discovered Egodreams (sadly no longer alive) an ichat chatroom similar to the ones in DreamArena, but when I first went there there were about 4 of us and I watched it grow into a bustling community where there was never less than 20 people online at any one time.
But Stupot is not exactly a very original nick and i soon found myeslf having to think of alternatives... In 2000 when I set up my Hotmail account I had to call myself Stupot_y2k and I till use that sometimes. On busy, global sites Stupot is inevitably already taken so I sometimes call myself Captain_Stu.
I've recently been toying with the idea of creating another alter ego. My Website is Toxic Sock and I was thinking of calling myself The Toxic Sock. I think i might do that sometimes, if Stupot is unavailable, and it might help promote my site. But I doubt I'll ever change my nick here or anywhere where I'm already known as Stupot.
The manhunt was a success. No more dualnames except the true.
And I was about to pick lock SSH door!! Damn.
I have done this a few times.
First: BuffaloGamer
Second: Dark of Night
Third and current: Domino (From a Genesis song from the Invisible Touch album)
Next will be: DualNames...he he he. NO!
;D
I for one shall remain my well pixeled Lo_Res_Man self. If I! did change my n-name it would be to The Occupant, since that is the name I have been told that is on British junk mail. I use it all the time when I am responding anonymously
I am also known as Ravens-Cry on a few forums and websites.
my famil nickname has always been Bootbug, long story.

SilverTrumpet, thats better! Woop I've had influence on your forum activities! Go me!
Oh always haha....
But I'm still considering nickname change. Only here, as I'm not really anywhere else. I always get called the full "silvertrumpet" which seems so stiff and formal. Not fun. Perhaps I'll ab
breviate to something similar. (One 'b' or two? ???)
How about "STrumpet"
:O terrible! no strumpet-ism. I have a better idea.. I think...
Haha, nice idea!
I have been Oliwerko for a few years now. However, I do not know how does it sound to foreigners. In our language, Oliwerko is diminutive of Oliver, Martinko is a diminutive of Martin and so on, so I called myself Oliwerko because it is a nice neat name ;D. I used "Froggy" for some time but it didnt last long, I dont know why.
If I would change my nick ? No.
But if I was going to, I should call myself "Pectus" by the name of my diagnose... ;D
I have been:
ken
drus
akira
Kaizer Ta...something
K.T
Kaizer Ya...something
K.Y
Fsoabah (it's a collection of bad words, I'd use it whenever I'm really pissed)
Arima Mikage
Mika
Arige
Virgin slut
Ed
Aedius
Barus
Edrus
Aidrus
(the above from 'Ed' to here are made- up variants of my name...because people seem to have difficulty pronouncing it)
Dus
Hideki
...more japanese names that I can't remember, probably somthing like Ryo
shintsukitan
yaoifreak
vertigo addict
Blimeh...
You are the nickname master.

Boron.. is that short for bored moron? ;D
I change my name quite a bit, depends what mood I'm in. It used to be(3 or 4 years ago) Potter all the time, then Rettop/Tobor/Rix/B0AB now its just Indie Boy. Its funny what happens when you grow up ;D
I thought Indie Boy would be better here since I'm working on my 1st game and Indie Boy is going to be a character in it. Its short and sweet and I'm very serious about completing it, like all my other projects. :-\ Maybe the name change will be a constant reminder to work on the game ;D

Hey, it's called getting deeper into the issue, basically they (we) approach the matter from where it all started and from its motives, and finally deduce the perfect solution to every problem that has risen during this round of pondering.

You're right, thought. SOR was a well-crafted game and very faithful to the original. It was pretty underrated here in Germany, so I'm quite happy to see it popping up.
From that point of view Tuomas well you must be right...
