Decent Name 4 A Band?

I was wondering if all you intellectual gentleman and ladies could suggest a clever, origional name for my band. I expect that means u will shower me with humerous ideas...so be it then.

Perhaps if you had a name already picked out, we could critique it for you.  But this forum isn't really for that kind of thing.

Also ... before we could, realisitically, suggest names for a band; we'd need to know a little about the band.  What type of music do you play, what are your influences, etc.

Though don't waste time answering that question yet ... I'm sure this is gonna get moved or locked!

Seeing as Radiohead took their name from a song on Talking Heads' True Stories, you could do the same.

sometimes, bands pick up names, from their songs, or favorite, bands, or a pink firdge (pink Floyd). Other than that, really if you just formed, I'm sure you'll find a name before you record, or compose maybe, any music.

The other band members, what do they think?

I can't really think of anything. When ages ago me and some friends formed a band, we didn't have a name, and were pretty lost with it. But a bit later, while I was working at a blacksmith's workshop for two weeks, somewhere in that time an idea just hit me, and the name I suggested was instantly approved by the others. Not long ago we found out that a band with such a name had already existed for a very long time, so we needed to change. I just wrote down a number of words I was sort of obsessed with (stuff that I try to shove everywhere, words of old English, and such), then I piecked two from that pile and put them in the best logical order, and there, our band has a name again. It's really not hard. An idea might hit you anytime, anywhere, when you least expect it. Or you might be on candid camera. Just pick a name you all like, not something half a forum off the internet can agree upon.
