Oh god, not another anime.... For me, there is only one, Akira, and maybe GIS..

Death Note bored me because all the plot twists and big revelations became useless after every 2 episdes, as Radiant pointed out already.

I liked this one a lot, but since I'm quite a stranger to anime, I'm wondering if there are any other anime series like this? What I have in mind is somewhat dark themed and with a lot of plot twists.

Boogiepop Phantom, but remove any sharp object in your vicinity. Maybe Blood+, Helsing, Soul Reaper and Neon Genesis Evangelion (angel and vampire themes are not for me, though).
Also Serial Experiment Lain.

Baccano!, Ghost Hunt and Denno Coil are the 3 best series I've seen recently. I'm sure they will be licensed soon.

This is awesome, I hear there is going to be a real-life movie made with real actors of this. Just started watching a few of the dubbed episodes but I don't think any of the voices work for it, they all sound wrong.

In the meantime, this was a funny VG Cats based around the show ^_^

The life action movies had been done even earier than the TV animation series.

My sisters have already watched the sequel of the movie with real actors they've made based on this anime. I actually watched the 'real life' movie (just the first one); it wasn't bad, but I bet the anime would have been better.
