Title: Dialogue Translations
Post by: Quintaros on Sat 04/10/2003 23:23:30
I need a couple of translations.

The first is for French.
A taxi drive asks the player character where to take him and it sounds something like: "Ou est tu voir allez?" but I'm not exactly sure.

The other is the common German fairwell that sounds something like:  "All vie dezane".

The second one is "Auf Wiederzehn"

...and in Germany we say "Auf Wiedersehen"…  ;)

So "Weidersehen" is proper German then?

And for the first,
"Où voulez-vous aller?"
A taxi driver wouldn't use "tu" unless he was talking to a child, I think.

If you need more standard phrases translated, just pop over to google and click on "language tools". I wouldn't risk it for anything complicated though. Actually it's probably wise to check for a more natural form with a native speaker anyway, but at least it shows you've tried :)

No, "Auf Wiedersehen."  :)
