And how did you get one? Luck?

I think this is getting out of hand now...

Before anyone else invites anyone.. Make sure they don't already have one from somebody else.. So invites aren't wasted.

Having that been said.. I have 1 invite left over. PM me if you would like it. Don't reply here.

If I were to use GMail, I'd be very concerned because in theory, it allows to link search querys to a specific user/email account. Sure, they say they don't need to, but they're not ruling it out either.
So I'd suggest everyone to read up on GMail's privacy policy and to delete and then block cookies from the google search engine.

Btw, "I've got nothing to hide" doesn't count. :P

Both Dart and Eggie sent me one, and I don't need 2.  I can forward the email to whoever wants another account.  Just change my name on the form.

The only thing Ive heard bad about gmail is that even when you delete your emails they are still stored on their database, and after 6 months they become Public domain (or so Ive been told by aload of people ranting about anti-gmail stuff) but, I dont have anything important on my email, so I dont really care

Red_Armadillo

https://gmail.google.com/gmail/help/privacy.html It mentions being stored in their database but,

QuoteEmail contents and usage. The contents of your Gmail account also are stored and maintained on Google servers in order to provide the service. Google's computers process the information in your email for various purposes, including formatting and displaying the information to you, delivering targeted related information (such as advertisements and related links), preventing unsolicited bulk email (spam), backing up your email, and other purposes relating to offering you Gmail. Because we keep back-up copies of data for the purposes of recovery from errors or system failure, residual copies of email may remain on our systems for some time, even after you have deleted messages from your mailbox or after the termination of your account. Google employees do not access the content of any mailboxes unless you specifically request them to do so (for example, if you are having technical difficulties accessing your account) or if required by law, to maintain our system, or to protect Google or the public.

Nothing about public domain, and I don't think that they would do that anyway.

How about the sheer fact that there will be millions of Gmail users and that they would have to employ hundreds of thousands of humans or robots to read through all those emails for no goddamned reason?
"I drink a thousand shipwrecks.'"

Mr Jake

1) its not there policy that makes it Public Domain its the US law
2) Yes, I doubt they would be stupid enough to read through the emails anyway, another reason why I dont really care

If you can find that US law I would like to see it. I really doubt that any law says after 6 months time your private email becomes public. Thats means that all email site that are out there now would have to do the same thing. I have emails on my hotmail account that are over 6 months old. They are stored on Hotmail servers somewhere and are never made public. If you refer to the fact that if you throw stuff in your garbage it is by what everyone says public domain when it hits the curb then I guess this would be the same thing. Goggles storage servers after you delete an email would be the curb but I just don't think that it is the same thing.
