This is a very simple question which I'm having a hard time finding on my own.
Where is there a simple, freeware DVD player program that can take screencaps?
That's all I wanna know. So far I have some program that expired, another program that only allows screencaps for AVIs and stuff, and another which doesn't seem to play DVDs at all like I thought it would. Grr.
You could try a trial download of powerdvd. You can find that at: http://www.gocyberlink.com (http://www.gocyberlink.com). It's limited to 30 minutes of video play and 5 minutes of special-equipment audio output and only lasts for 14 days but it may suit your purposes. If you got a non-legitimate copy, that would be another option ... not that I'm condoning piracy, mind you. ::)
Yarrr!
Get yer copy off Kazaa or a BitTorrent or walk the plank, ya scurvy seadog!
YAAAAAAARRRR!!!!
Maximus DVD is both free and does screen captures. Do a search on google.
C.
Thanks, all three of ye.
Power DVD doesn't allow screen captures, unless it's there and I just can't find it. PrintScreening doesn't work in it, anyway...
On its control panel, it's got a little camera-icon you can click for a printscreen. In the settings you can also select whether it kicks it to the clipboard, asks for a filename or automatically saves incremental file-names.. you can also bind it to a keystroke.. I think I've got mine on "C."
Well then thank you for enlightening me.
Thanks from me as well. This is actually really useful.
You could also download a specialised screenshot program which also allows you to take screenshots of dos programs, directx games, divx movies etc as well. I only know about one which costs money, but there should be some free ones out there I'm sure. Google is your friend.
The one that costs money is called Hypersnap DX.
