"Inherit the Earth" help

Ok, so I just downloaded "Inherit the Earth" from EMule.


...what? Don't look at me like that! I used to own it, but I lost the CD. I still have the manual and can quote it to anyone who likes.

So, I'm trying to install it... but oddly, the install program quits with the message "Hey, Beavis... there's a Music CD loaded!". And the CD does have 8 audio tracks, which are, I believe, for demos. I find this so very weird I have to ask if someone has any idea of what I can do.

that's a game where animals have "inherited the earth" and you play as a fox who's accused of being a thief, no? wow, when was that thing released... I know it, though, had it too...

it was a dos game wasn't it, so maybe if you copy the contents of the game folder on your hard drive and try to install from there? worked for me with the Flight OF The Amazon module, though it wasn't really worth the effort...

It doesn't, unfortunately... the install program HAS to be run so a certain file has to be created, and there's no other way to create the file. Thanks anyway.

Any more thoughts?

(btw, Ghost, the floppy version is from 1990 and the CD from 1994 )

do you have more that one cd drive?
that's the reason I couldn't install lsl7.
don't know


EDIT:: I ment that you should unhook one.
lsl7 install said that the cd could not be found in E: (because the cd was in D:)

I have, and I tried both, to know avail.

Ah well, I found the official forum - I posted there, and hope to get an instructive reply. Thanks all the same.
