Brazil is the most serious rival for every other team in the world, in worldwide competitions: My sympathy always goes to the "Canarinho" selection when it plays, except against Portugal, of course...Ã,Â 8)

Besides, I hate worldwide competitions since I saw old movies and reports showing Portugal was robbed ALOT in 1966: instead of a deserved 1st place, it has got a humilliating 3rd one.

Portugal won! Amazing, I say, as Spain had won all latest games against Portugal: I was trembling, started eating my fingers (nails had already gone), even considering I don't care (TOO MUCH) about football, but at least my team won! Wow! Portugal Ã© o tal (Portugal is the one!).Ã,Â

Haha, I have troubles accepting that we qualified over Spain because we had a better offense. If there ever was a sign of the upcoming apocalypse, that's gotta be it.

(edit) Forgot to say this: Yesterday's match showed why Greeks need to be the underdogs. When we are the underdogs, we have to play our best to prove ourselves, it's an ego thing. When we're the favorites, we start getting into weird headtrips of how we're either not good enough to be the favorites, or how we're so good we don't even need to play in order to win. Go figure

. That's why I hope we don't play against Croatia in the quarter finals.

By the way, this is kinda late, but I'm really glad the Czechs won, especially given the way they won, since they were robbed in their 2000 match against Holland.

Why shouldn't Greece be worse than Spain? A team that scores two goals in a final phase does not deserve anything.

Well, I have watched the Saturday's game against Holland one more time (since me and my mates got sooo excited and drunk during the game to really appreciate it) and I must say it was a cracker, easily one of the best international games in years.

Now the outcome of the match put both, Holland and Germany, into a tricky situation, letting even Latvia a chance to qualify. Czechs have destiny of these teams in their hands as they can virtually choose which one to let go through. The coach Bruckner has already announced that he will rest some of the key players during Wednesday match with GermanyÃ,Â including Nedved. This is probably the last thing the Holland supporters wanted to hear since Germany's win would send them home.

But it's a complicated situation for Czech Republic as well. The team has secured first spot in group D table already and it seems like there is nothing they should care about. BUT! Beating Germany would let Holland through (provided they beat Latvia) and I doubt anyone would like to play against such a team in playoffs. Germany (in current shape) seems to be less dangerous. That, on the other hand, would imply Czech defeat. It would also mean Czechs losing great momentum, not what you want before quarterfinals. Germany will be tough for sure and desperately fighting for victory they need, we will see how Czech â€œB teamâ€ will do against them.

Personally I think it would be shame if Holland didn't go through after what they showed so I will cross my fingers for Czechs to help the Dutch to playoffs.

Farlander: It's just funny that Greece (a team that only plays defensively) goes through the group phase because they scored more goals than Spain, a team that's renowned for their offensive capabilities.

So France - Greece and Portugal - England huh? Go Portugal!

By the way, it's a pity that we won't see the lovely Miss Bulgaria again, after Bulgaria play their last match for the Euro tomorrow.

That's one of the problems Lazy Z... We suppose Spain is good, displays a good attack football, has good players... but... why? We haven't won anything except an Euro (Played at home, under our previous regime) in something like 1964.

Spain is an average (or minus) team. Catalonia should put it in serious problems.
