We've done this in the past, people post their results and older people moan how harder it was in their day etc!
I got overall (3 years because i screwed up my first year :D) 3 Ds at A level and C and E at AS level
and I got in to my first choice Portsmouth to do Computer games technology ¬¬
Yay etc.
Well I had my A-level exam 13 years ago, and it was hard!
So hard that I can't even remember the exact grades I got!
I got my three As and got into my first choice to do history and politics, so I am happy :)
Well done to all who passed today. I did mine 17 years ago, and people always say the exams are getting easier, I don't know if they are, but I think people are working harder and putting more effort in nowadays, especially as you know you will end up massively in debt after finishing your course. I certainly didn't bust a gut in either my A levels or degree, and I think getting a full grant put me in that frame of mind. Anyway my old man rant is over, well done and enjoy yourselves at college.
I got BBCD wwhich isnt bad. Got into cardiff and UEA to do french, so the choice is mine (hooray for clearing!)
I read in the paper that people in the B region of the alphabet had some mix up with their results, and any As recieved should be Ds. They always bugger something up those crazy examiners.
I got... three B's, two D's and a C in the Irish LC... one of those D's was in Maths :)
Can get into all of the courses I want.
I got ABB plus abc at AS level on top of that. And now I'm celebratory and drunk
Hurrah!
So you tell the whole forum before me! Bastard!
Also well done mate, roll on university.
When I was in school, the final exam consisted of being thrown into a pit with a sabertooth tiger and a velociraptor with only a club to defend yourself. If you lived you passed, obviously.

Absolutely. The place I'm going, Aberystwyth, is about the size of a shoebox but has 56 (count 'em) pubs. Oh yes. It's also by-the-sea and is as far away from people I don't like as you can get without getting your feet wet.
It's been a long time for me, but the last course I did I got straight A's passed the course with distinction, and don't even work in the field I studied.
Hope everyone did/does well, but don't worry if you don't, there's always other avenues and other years to do what you want, the biggest thing is knowing what you want to do. (which I still don't know at 30)

Did you pass?
My brother got an A in Technology and Design, a B in Religion and a D in History.
I don't actually know how that impacts on the university course he wanted, although I do think I remember him saying he needed three Bs.
AS level here, didn't do well at all. Probably due to my chronic procrastination.
C C D E U
Euch. It's enough to do A2 I guess.
I got the U in DT as it sucked and I didnt put any heart into it.
Ah well, try harder next year.
A - English
B - DT
B - History (this close to an A.. bah!)
I dropped out of school at 15. Exams have no place in my life.
I think, therefore I am.
Now, if you'll excuse me, my shift at Wimpy Burger starts in a minute...
I get the results of my Maths gcse tomorrow (Yes I'm one of those Additional Maths kids who can do a two year course in one year... are you that surprised?)
No doubt I'll come back here tomorrow and edit this with a letter.
EDIT: A*
W00t. Next term I'll be starting a GCSE course in "Further Mathematics", which is essentially a softcore version of as level.
I am very suspicious of how the same set of people post their A level results each year. What's going on? ;D
I'll just block my ears and repeat to myself "GPA doesn't matter". That's what all my college mates tell me. It might even be true.
