Title: Extracting frames from a dvd?
Post by: Nacho on Thu 01/01/2004 14:17:30
Hi guys... I have a problem. I want to rip frames from a DVD. I thought that was going to be fu*ing easy, print screen and paste as in PSP, but... fuck! The only thing I can capture is a black screen. Is there any program which can capture the frames? I need to extract them form a *.vob file (Yes, they´re the Indiana Jones DVD´s  ;))

I would be pleased if someone directs me to a web where I can donwload this program (If exist)

Thanks.

Do a search for a program called maximus DVD.  it's a software DVD player that does screen captures.  It's small, easy to use, and free.  Just do a search google.

Power DVD (although it's a commercial product) lets you click a little camera icon to take screenshots from your videos.

It does kick a good deal of ass, and it's totally free (if I remember correctly).

if i remember rightly there is a way to do it with PSP, you puase the movie, then go to screen capture in PSP, but set it up so you define the area you capture...
