Farewell to my grandfather

My grandfather (my Dad's dad) passed away this morning.

Please keep my family in your thoughts and prayers for this trying time.

Sorry to hear about your loss. I hope his passing was as easy as possible.

Thank you.  Yeah, he passed peacefully.  At least he's in a better place.

Still, the road will be painful for a while--especially since he departed exactly a week from Thanksgiving (USA) Holiday, and we usually have a sort of family get together on that holiday.

I kind of feel you, though I also lost my grandmother this morning. This being the last of my grandparents alive, I am officially 23 and have none, and all of them didn't get to have to grandchildren. Which is a saddening thought to me.

I personally hate funerals. They make me so numb. I just want them over and done. Anyhow, my condolences to your grandfather.

Sorry to the both of you

I hate funerals too, no doubt all of us do. My friend just lost his mother last Friday. We are going to the wake tonight and the funeral is tomorrow. Sad times.

There is never a good time for someone to pass. The first few holidays will be tough, you and your family need to stick together and keep him in your thoughts and prayers. We all go sometime, some just go sooner than others.

Take your time to mourn - this is important!
To some it helps to talk about shared experiences, but others prefer to stay alone in those times.
