I can actually think of some fps's that are really good:

Outlaws - My favourite.  The western setting is great, and besides - You can find Max in it! Joy!

Redneck Rampage - How can you go wrong with two hillybillies that slaughters Aliens in the search for their kidnapped pig?

Shadow Warrior - "Swim, swim, hungry! Stupid fish..."...

As you can see, I'm kinda fond of the older ones...

I saw the movie, but thought it made the game pretty dull looking, I mean, it looks cool, but it's all just shooting baddies and trying not to get hit by green stuff when it comes down to it...

i WAS impressed by the half life 2 preview movie thing however, i got it at http://games.telstra.com/gamearena/ cause i get free downloads from there...

most fps do seem to be increasingly and depressingly becomeing all too similar, but then again, there's still games like gta, deus ex, etc, comeing out  that stretch the bounds of fps's...

Com'on Halo2 looks sweet, understandably it doe'nt live up to any thing lucas Arts made but it still looks realy good. i cant wait to get it. Then again more AGS related: What time is it, looks like it is shaping up to be the best AGS game around.

And whats wrong with being a chicken?

Looks quite nice, not as impressive as Doom 3 or Half Life 2 are looking but it's supposed to be a fun game.. never played Halo myself because I don't have an xbox ._.

Obviosly Monkey Island, and i totally agree with you there Peaceman thats the whole reason why i come to AGS. But when i say looks sweet i mean the gameplay, look at all the thing that are going on at once :o, the things that you can do :o, the AI, thats what i mean.   Its Sweet
