I've just been looking through the Games page, and noticed that we/you/someone/I(?) should do something about the voting system we have at the moment. I'm not sure what the formula for getting a rating percentage for a game is, but I think the threshold might be a little too high. For those already confused by the last sentence, just go to the short (or any other) games page, scroll down the titles and see just how many times you can count the words "Need more votes", and you'll understand what I mean...

I don't think this affects the majority of the community members/lurkers who have been on the forums for some time and read about the games in particular, like myself. However, try to take it from a n00b's (a person new to the community's) perspective to the forums, when they scroll down the list of games made with AGS and see the phrases "Sorry, no image available" in a combination with "Need more votes" used to rate a game. It's not the most positive promotional material for the community now is it?

Well, Krynge, it's only just changed recently, so it will take a while for games to be re-voted. Also, isn't there still an indication of the rating from the old system?

You have to get "more detail" to see the old rating.
I agree this is very offputting right now.
Perhaps the old rating could be in smaller text under "needs more votes".

Yes, the voting system was changed last month and all the votes were reset.

There was some text on the top of the games page saying this, but I removed it last week since I figured it had been there long enough for everyone to see it.

The best solution would be if everyone helped out by re-voting for games that they've played ;)
