I have Dott on my hard drive but i cant get it to work the screen goes black.
I have tried SCUMM VM that dont work
and i cant use dos box coz its too much for my tiny Mortal brain

has ayone else had this problem and if so how do i rectify it

Use d-fend for dos box if the brain is too tiny. 8)
But i find it strange that you can't use it with scummVM. What seems to be the problem?

Have you used SCUMMVM on other games of the sort?

What exactly doesn't work?

I didn't have any problems with ScummVM ever. I've played everything from Loom, DOTT to TheDig & CMI with ScummVM, DOTT of all should run fine.

Don't even start fiddling around with DosBox unless you're absolutely sure that for some reason, ScummVM won't work.
(Install latest Gfx & DirectX drivers, download latest ScummVM, try again.)

That's not true. ScummVM (while being really uber cool) is also not bug-free. I've had several problems running CMI and my friend has had countless problems saving on BASS.

Well, so far I haven't got any problem with ScummVM. I've got DOTT talkie version and it runs perfectly fine. It also runs fine with Sam & Max, Indy 3, Loom and Zak McKraken. I agree with the Khrismuc that you should be more specific with what doesn't work.

Maybe you don't place the files in the ScummVM's folder. If you don't then you should place the files TENTACLE.000, TENTACLE.001, TENTACLE.002 and MONSTER.SOU in the folder which have the ScummVM program.

Hope this works.
