A friend and I were talking, and somehow we got into the conversation of DZ, the Discovery Zone. That led to talking about other great things in the 90's, and led to many other highly amusing discussions just about growing up in the 90's. We talked about everything from "Hey, remember Power Rangers?" to "Hey, remember how easy it was to play Guess Who?"
An idea popped into our tiny little heads. Why not start some message boards, and attract other 90's lovers? It was a whole decade of bizarreness where people like myself were born, so why not.
Pff, so what if I run too many websites. :nana: , I get a kick out of stuff like this.
Anywho, check it out at: www.savethe90s.ulmb.com
I hated the 90's

Hey, that's right. Come to think of it, Alternative DID become huge. Bands like Green Day and R.E.M were still popular.
...and then there were songs for every board game imagined.
Surely there's loads of 90's websites??
I loved the first half of the nineties. It's when I got into music, ala Jesus Jones, EMF, Pop will eat itself, Ned's Atomic Dustbin, The Wonder Stuff etc.
My bro has a rare pink translucent vinyl Nirvana album "Bleach" where the credits for the band members are wrong on the back of the sleeve so the albums were pulled off the shelves.
Wow, we're already in the "look back at the 90's" stage? Blimey, how time flies. Sometimes I feel it's still '98.
I just got into the 90's dance music because my sister used to listen to it quite a lot. It's a nostalgic feeling when you hear something like Ace of base, not to mention Aqua, or Erotica or all of them. I also discovered Roxette again, ooh, and Prodigys stuff from the 90's. But alongside, there was something good back then. I mean, who would not want to wear tight grey jeans and a red-grey shirt. I can feel the shivers down my spine again. Oh well, still it was the time of regression, so thing have gotten better ever since 1989.
The 90's is over? shit I'm just coming out of the haze
I look back back at the ninties with a strange mix of nostalgia and regret.
The music was ok but it was nothing definitive like the 80s or the 70's or any other decade to date.
Bands like Placebo, Terrorvision and Space came out of it I suppose but I don't really rememebr the 90s for the music. I just rememebr it as the time when we built our patio, then moved house lifting the patio up again and reinstalling it in our new garden, joining a new school, not really takeing the chance to make new friends and being a bit of a lonely schoolboy with a couple of mate who i celebrated the millenium with and thats another story.

not to mention all the grungers, shoegazers, indie bands and (some) experimental bands too.

Jeez sorry, guys, i just read that back... what a boring 90s I had...glad my 00s have been a little more fun.... just a little.
Vanilla Ice! THe best thing to happen in the 90's forgot about that. But don't worry if you still live the 90's, that just makes you an old fart. My dad, who is 44 (I think) often talks about stuff that just happened a while ago, and asks me if I remember, and then my stepmom tells him that this was during the 70's or 80's when I wasn't alive.
3 words...
COLOR ME BADD
'nuff said.
how can you be "nostalgic" about the 90's. they just finished. i really enjoyed the 80's and i barely remember the end of the 70's
I loved the 90s!
They were so much fun!
Anybody remember Hansen? Didn't think so. (Just so you know, I never listened to any of their music, they creeped me out.)
their comeback album wasnt too bad however they had already lost their "group of kids" gimic by then and thanks to their older stuff their newer stuff never took off just because no one cared about them anymore

i cant even mention the kinda music i like since no one would know of it. but it was best between 80 and about 92. then i didnt really like anything that came out after that in that genre of music called dub
Wow, I had a lot of fun in the early 90's (can't really mention what I was doing as it was highly illegal). But all good things must come to an end. I had my first child in the 90's, so that was a good thing. I think music in the 90's is/was very forgetable for the most part. Not as revolutionary as the 80's, 70's or 60's (which I was not alive for but am a huge fan of classic rock from that era). Although there were quite a few artists that I really like from the 90's. Like Nirvana, The Chilli Peppers, etc, etc, etc..... Plus not to mention the Yankee's kicked ass in the 90's.
The 90's were great. The Forth Bridge, first use of the electric chair, the bustle went out of fashion, and Stan Laurel was born.
What a great time to be alive, eh?
...Wait... that's not right.
Maaan I feel old. The 90s didn't seem all that long ago. I remember being in college in 1996, and there was all this 80s revival stuff, and it seemed like a different world.
I miss flannel shirts, though. I really do.
It seems like the 90s was just yesterday. I still think of 1990 as 10 years ago!!
I remember "London Beat" and "Alice in Chains". Vaguely.

Important events of the nineties:
The first few sparks of my own artistic development.
I bought an electric guitar. <--- Flint
Assorted King Crimson related activity. <--- Kindling
Hmm, nineties... suppose I can get nostalgic on you guys a bit. Maybe it's because most us had the mid-90's as our formative years, but unlike the 70s and 80s there seems to be a clear distinction between early and late 90s.
Early 90s makes me think of Sega Genesis, TGIF, Macaulay Culkin, Beavis and Butthead, Power Rangers, striped t-shirts, and good Saturday Night Live. Later 90s bring to mind dial-up internet, Spice Girls, teen slasher "horror" films, Daria, CD singles with unnecessary house remixes, and mediocre to awful Saturday Night Live.
Alternative Rock? I thought the Beatles started that... Or was that Progressive Rock?

Crystal Clear Pepsi! :D
Hey, remember all those cool communist regimes of the early 90s, why don;t they bring them back, eh?
Lol it seems so funny reminscing about the 90s :) I was in my young pre-teen years then teens, it feels weird looking back like this, but it is good. Makes me realise how fast the years have flown lol. I remember all the things in the 90's as Disco listed ;) and I feel old like Dave and Bt :D. I had a look at the 90's forum and its interesting to look back at all the stuff that seem so recent, but it seems recent because I went thru the 80's and being older, the 90's flew and now the 00's are going even faster!!! Soon the 10's will come and WOOSH by lol.

I'm only as old as my underwear.
And I refuse to stop wearing my Star Wars nut-huggers from 1979.

Some of the best adventure games were made in the early 90's! I was 15 in 1990 and owned my first Packard Bell 316SX piece of junk. I played the Lucas Arts, Access, and Sierra classics!!!
