I'm aware. I was pointing out that you pointed out something which I had already pointed out.

As i was saying... they are two completely different things.

One: Missing the help page about BBCode on the reply page. I tend to get stupid and forget silly tags...like was it [hide ] or [hint ]??

Two: This isn't a missing bit but, there are a lot of extra bits. I cannot imagine the kind of bandwidth this forum sucks up (long ago I think you said 4 gigs). With these extra bits I'm just wondering if that will rocket it up more...Perhaps disabling them might be a good idea. Then again, I don't know how concerned you are about bandwidth really...or how optimized the new forums are.

EDIT: How about replacing the post count with a "member since" thing?

Some of the colors are darker, making it difficult to see some of the text with this monitor.

Thanks for your feedback.

TheDude: you are talking about the same thing. That icon to the left of the posts used to be a blue cup - and I've now restored it so that it still is.

juncmodule: actually, this forum is faster and more efficient than the last one, so bandwidth isn't a problem.

Now, as for the gender image, does anyone else have any opinions on it? I think it can be useful in situations where people have said "he" or "him" when they're actually talking about a woman; but then, it is a bit up-front to have it on all posts.

As for the Edit thing - the "Last edited by:" bit doesn't appear if you make the edit within 90 seconds of posting the post, AND nobody else has replied to your post in the meantime. This is to allow you to quickly correct something that you posted wrong without getting the tag appearing.

I noticed that the locked threads no longer are moved to the bottom in Competitions and Activities

Edit: Now the edit button says "modify"... confusing

and you should hurry up and remove the remove post button thing and

Quoteaddd a border to the quotes

Oh, I just noticed that at the bottom it has the key to what the topics are but the normal topic one is a folder and not a bluecup :D

Also I prefered the old smilies.. They look evil when you highlight them

EDIT: And also Edit is now Modify and we have the option to remove posts.. yey!

Also if people want to post scripts and use something like

GuiOn(8 );  (Without the space)
A weird emoticon comes up...
GuiOn(8);

Boticed that in this thread http://www.agsforums.com/yabb/index.php?topic=13616.0

Gender and posts go...everything goes except the stuff you added to our profile....(the stats)

ALL MUST GO!

DragonRose

I actually like the gender thing. Though it is kind of funny to be called "that DragonRose guy," it does get kind of old.  And I'm sure guys with ambiguous names (WanderLady and Highwaygal, anyone?) get kind of sick of the confusion as well.

But post count can DEFINETLY go.  Just seeing them I'm tempted to spam.

I think that this ICQ, MSN and YIM thing is unneeded. If someone wants to add one to his contact list, he can look at the profile.

edmundito

The normal topic icon at the bottom of the main forum pages (not the threads) has a little folder icon isntead of the blue cup...

Who did the roger smileys? maybe the other ones can be finished? :P I don't like them.. they look all blurry  :)

Ishmael

Gender icons ok
Old smileys back! but the ones that SMF has, but YabbSE didn't should stay O0
Borders to quotes
Advanced Options on by default, if possible
The "New" icon from topic names and the "New posts"/"No new posts" images seem to be missing

Gotta still see the profile pages though...

Anyway, Looks teh nice
I used to make games but then I took an IRC in the knee.

Wanderlady and Highwaygal aren't ambiguous, they have "lady" and "gal" in the names! But hey, their choice.
Once I killed a man. His name was Mario, I think. His brother Luigi was upset at first, but adamant to continue on the adventure that they started together.

dasjoe

be sure to post script codes or other stuff in [code ] and [/code ] to preserve formatting and smilies.

Code: ags

blabla... code here

Wow, great, new software! Yay, Offer your services! Hmm, I like having a delete option, but Edit sounds better than modify, heh. One thing that bugged me: hovering my mouse over a forum name, I see the number of the member and not the original name (I found it useful to hover a changed name to see the username and not the displayed name).

Also, by using title instead of alt, will t function in the same way?

Anyway, that's all I had to say, and I like the new profile options :).

P.s. The new icons look, umm, blurry? I dunno, I liked the old ones (though Darth's are best imo..).
I think the gender is somewhat useful, as Dragonrose said, but people not knowing your gender is amusing.
Wait, wanderlady is a guy? [insert odd eyes icon here] :P

Also, was there never an option to not include signature or something? Not that I use it, my signature is short for now, but just wondered if anyone ever used it.

Best feature yet: Offer your services in profile! :)

edit: can't find the delete option.. I was going to say it shouldn't be the same place as modify, as it's easy to accidentally delete, rather there should be an option like it when editing: You need to both tick a box to confirm, and then click the delete button. Elimnates possibilty for accidents IMO.

One last thing, which seemed to start as soon as the new website (not forum) was launched, is that because AGS site seems to use frames now (or maybe it's another reason), clicking a link in the forums or the site opens it with the status bar still showing the adress of the site or forum, or alternatively not at all. Does anyone else notice this?

Title shows up the text when you hover the mouse over an image. Alt text also does this on some browsers, but that's not what it's meant for. It's meant to show up assuming the image doesn't load properly.

AGA

There's still no 'link to post' feature, that'd be cool. The anchors are already in, it's just a matter of making links to them...

Esseb

CJ, could you change the quote and hide colours also? They look ugly on light blue posts.

Evil

Yeah, I like the new look, but all of the images and wordings are distracting. I had problems just browsing what was said. I say disable the gender thing, or atleast move it some place else. The fast amount of new stuff is mind boggling, and gives me a head ache, but it is really a nice change.

I hate to bring this up, but maybe the blue colour scheme could be due for change? Still blue but different shades.

Good point, it's hard to see who someone really is if they change their name. I'll see about fixing it.

Should do, yep.

QuoteP.s. The new icons look, umm, blurry? I dunno, I liked the old ones (though Darth's are best imo..).

Where can I see these Darth's icons that people are talking about?

There isn't one, I've removed it now.

AGA, see in your post where it says "Re: Forum upgrade: missing bits" - that's a link, right click and copy shortcut and you've made a link to your post.

Esseb: care to suggest a colour? :P

Evil: but teh blue is teh bluecup!11!!11

Evil

Just another thing that bugs me. Before when you moused over someones name it would say their regestered name. I thought it was convinent for those ones who like to often change their avaitor and name.
