Does anyone know of any good free firewall software? And I don't mean a 15 day trial or anything like that, I mean, free to download and keep firewall software? If you do it would be great cuz I am on a totaly small budget. thanks in advance. :)
In related news, does anyone know of any freeware for demuxing video and audio? and if so instructions on how would be helpful.
The most popular free firewall is ZoneAlarm... google that. Also, a good free audio editing software is Audacity... although it may not feature "demuxing", whatever that may mean ;)
You can basically equip your PC with software entirely for free, if you know what you're doing. And I mean without downloading keygens, even.
Zonealarm. Go for it. Also, Sygate has a reasonable alternative, although ZA is better.

Try VirtualDub (http://www.virtualdub.org/download) or its fork, VirtualDubMod (http://sourceforge.net/projects/virtualdubmod/).
I'd go for ZoneAlarm for the firewall. It's free and it's simple to set up and monitor.
With the advent of version 7, ZoneAlarm is now distributed by Check Point Software, and the GUI has undergone minor changes.
Personally, I prefer the last version 6 build, which you can find below.
