Hey, I'm fairly unexperienced when it comes to Photoshop, so I was wondering if you guys could help (you all come with such high recommendations from other people who have needed help in the past of course...):

I'm using the Ellipse tool, & I want to change the thickness of the outline (it appears to be just one pixel as it is), the help file says something about a "weight" option, but I can't see it anywhere....anyone care to tell me what to do please?

I'm using PS 7, if that makes much difference.

Thanks in advance.

Wish I could help you here. I've been using Photoshop for several years now, and never once have I used the ellipse tool. I make most of my ellipses with an elliptical selection area, then use a stroke of a specified thickness on the selection. (I don't like shape layers.)

Weight only applies to the line tool not the ellipse tool. Try what Darcness suggested. For a detailed tutorial on how to do it that way go here.

Hope that helps?

Yeah, that does exactly what I want, thank you very much, both of you. Have a virtual cookie.
