Post by: Peder 🚀 on Sat 06/12/2008 21:28:05
Do you guys remember Gesundheit?
(http://www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk/yabb/index.php?topic=29077.0 or www.underwaterbase.com)
The ill pig that sneeze and the monsters that eat his snot?

Wouldent it be cool to play the game (when it gets finished) on Playstation 3?

I signed. I loved Gesundheit. It would be nice to play on PS3 or Xbox.

i'd rather see more of it on PC, for free. even though i really liked the game i don't think i'd pay for it if it were on PSN (even if i did have a PS3, and if i did buy one i wouldn't be able to afford anything ever again), or Xbox Live Marketplace.
although it'd probably be perfect for Wii or DS.
but personally i'd rather these type of console services where you buy points to spend on games there are free alternatives to online would just go away to be honest.

Yeah, Microsoft took that one step further recently with "community games" that look like freeware, except you pay about 3-4 pounds for them each! What the hell are they playing at!

If I were to go back to my game and complete it, I'd love to have it ported over to the 360 and ps3, but only if people could download it for free.

I'm all for games being ported on as much platforms as possible, but considering what happened with fl0w, where they released the game for free as a flash version, and then released a PS3 version, with better graphics, musics, more levels, more creatures, multiplayer mode, and kind of ditched their PC fan base afterward, I don't think I will sign that petition. Released for PS3, 360, PC, Wii, DS... yes, why not, but PS3 alone? No way.

Add to this that PC will allow it to reach a broader public than PS3 alone, not everyone may have a big gaming rig, but a whole lot of people have the specs to run a little game like Gesundheit. Having a different OS seems to me a much bigger obstacles to indie and casual PC games than not meeting the specs. (At least it is everytime I suggest a friend an indie game to play)
