in AGS would it be possibe to make a windows shell replacement?  :o

it's easilly done in vb (apparently), so i thought maybe AGS was capable

TerranRich

Maybe. And that's a big maybe. There is the capability of opening up external programs, and it can run in full screen, although the resolution is limited by the engine. I'd say perhaps. Not a definite yes.

And that means, it's better to be considered a 'no', it's not really worth wasting the time to invest on the possibility of making an OS shell with a game creation kit which original intention was to create some specific sort of games anyway.

TerranRich

Yeah. Stick with VB or C[++] for Windows Shell applications. I once was working on a Star Trek type of desktop interface. It was really neat and intuitive, but I lost interest.
