In honor of http://www.phil-reed.com reaching its one-year anniversary, AND in honor of HER LIFE WILL BE SET TO MUSIC reaching #44 on the best-seller list at Amazon in March (thanks so much for you support!) I've given the ol' website a major makeover.
More content, and it's much easier on the eyes now.
And for the true enthusiast, there are 6 more (count em!) Guitarman adventures for the family to enjoy.
Let's shoot for #42 next month. =)
I love your stuff man. I really do. I am proud to know you. I think most of us are. You inspire me a lot. And when you get a tv show be shure to have me on ;)... Keep it up man.
**EDIT**
I just had an idea... Write a movie... It would be a big hit man... "Her life will be set to music... TEH MOVIE!!!"
i love you more if not for the fact that the first random sentence i get when going to your site is a RIP for Donald Darko
you are my love machine, a hug and kiss machine
So where's the little game you promised us a while ago? Huh! Geez! It's like trying to squeeze dried cement from a dried cement squeezer thingamabob to get a game out of you.

Congratulations...
Oh yeah, dont forget about larry vales III. The first two were the games that brought me into using ags...
My next game (but not another Larry Vales installment--sorry Aushor) is actually finished. It's just a matter of troubleshooting and working out the bugs.
Not all of them, though. Half the personality of my games comes from the bugs.
School ends for me after today, so I'll be able to devote a lot more time to getting it together. I'll be sure to update you when I have...something to say.
Guitarman is great. I enjoy reading comics with an extreme amount of jokes in each and every sentence. I'd prefer reading one of these in my morning paper over a garfield any day. They're funnier on many deep levels.
I loved the dog joke, and I still love that "the fat moon" description. Goodness.
Also, don't feel like you have to hurry up your game on my account.
What Scid0r said, big daddy.
If I were Phil, I'd spend all my times making more guitarman comics until I had enough to publish a collection. Then I'd give a free signed copy to that loveable guy Chrille.
Hooray for a new Phil Reed game. I hope to make one myself, one of these days. If you need a tester, I am more than up for it. And I echo Helm0r echoing Scidalicious. Especially those Guitarman novel excerpts. Oh yeah.
Phil, you're the greatest! Always so talented and sexy. Your comics, and your book.. Actually, I've never read your book. But I called you sexy.
I'll be looking forward to your new game. And I'll get around to reading your book some day.
Congratulations to "the Reed" !! Can't wait to play this new game. I guess you forgot to press "Send" when you were sending that email about a theme tune, right!? :P
Big up. May there be many more years of VSc-ing!
Oh, and Larry Vales!
:)

Nice one Phil, glad to see you're still gracing our humble forums ;)
Seriously though, #44 is a great achievement for a first book, keep up the good work :)
Guitarman is quite possibly the best comic strip in existance.
I might have to change my Pokey avatar to a Dan avatar. Me loves the BUTT cap. It's so offensive!
Dogfood baby, dogfood.
Thanks, everyone. I would definitely love to do a Guitarman collection sometime...but much sooner I'd like to find a newspaper that would actually run the things on a weekly (or daily) basis.
I could keep up, and I have enough of an archive now that I can even afford to fall behind at times.
But I wouldn't know the first thing about getting them into a periodical. Maybe I'll drop by the local newspaper office and see if they'd do anything for me.
Something tells me, though, I'll need to find a pretty progressive paper if they're going to run Guitarman.
I think it'd be great next to Cathy, a classic in it's own right.
She thinks she's fat today! Oh the wit of it all! It's too much to bear! Please, PLEASE, take it away from my poor eyes! I may die if I can't stop myself from laughing!
Guess what LGM and I learned the other day. I went to the library to find your book and they didnt have it. Nor did any other library in the country. AND THEY MIGHT BUY IT! YAY!!! :)
oh, good idea evil!
/me goes to local library, makes them buy phill's book.
/me looses phill's book.
At the risk of sounding like an ignoramus: What on Earth does "VSc" stand for?
He received a PHd while studying in Canada- but in Canada Phd's are called VSc's. He carries his Canadian education with much pride.
What "VSc" means is a ponderance that has brought me so much joy that it's only perpetuated my keeping it a mystery. Some of my favorite assumptions so far are "Very Special Child" and "Vegetarian Society of Colorado."
With luck, when I die, my tombstone will be bare entirely with the exception of the cryptic initials, and also I'll be buried with a hot girl.

Will she be alive?
Nah, she'd be too difficult.
Ba dum...
VSc...pah that's an easy one.

In his spare time, the man known only as Phillip Reed (which is his name) splices together pigeons and rats to creat pigeon rats, and Guitars and men to create guitarmen. Stop him, before the madness spreads!
Nah. It's one of those things they stamp you with when you're no longer insane. It takes years of extensive therapy to achieve one of those, so I can understand how Phil would be very proud with his. I'm still working very hard to get mine.
Incidentially, the Vsc seems to stands for: "Very Sane Cat"
I thought it was Very Sanitary Communist....
Phil's so busy being a famous writer that he has no time to answer the emails of the petty masses.
I can olny dream that my future is as bright.
