Post by: Dave Gilbert on Thu 29/01/2004 21:08:25
It's the year of the MONKEY.  I'm surprised nobody has mentioned it yet...

Yufater was going on about it in #ags the other day, and was all excited about it... I think she was on another coffee high or something. :P

Happy year of the monkey ^^ It's an excuse to draw cartoon monkeys with magical sticks and such for a whole year.woooo

er yeah ^^ in honour of the occasion:
"There's a monkey in my pocket,
and it's stealing all my change,
if there's a monkey in my pocket then I must be derranged"

tada!

I went to a Buddhist Temple to celebrate (not that I'm chinese, or anything. Just curious). It was really good, actually. I learnt a LOT about their culture (well, a lot more than I thought I knew), and everyone was so happy and cheerful.

AND THEY WERE GIVING OUT FREE MONKEYS!!!!

p.s. unfortunately they were only paper monkeys. :-(

Chun Jie kuai le!

Kinda late post, but Chinese New Year lasts a month. At least.

I'm born on the year of the tiger! Wooh.

I know! It's my year... and this is what I would look like if I dyed my hair like they did to these monkeys for the celebration:
