Title: Happy New Year!
Post by: SpacePirateCaine on Wed 31/12/2008 14:54:42
Happy new year, AGS Forum boys 'n girls. The clock just struck here in Japan. I wasn't particularly active on the forums this year, but I'd still like to wish everyone a wonderful new year and wanted to make a tertiary resolution that I'm going to try to make some sort of lasting impression this year to make up for 2008. Good luck in 2009!

Happies newies yearies to ya too! It's 17:24 here, and we're waiting for 20+ people to be joining us at our party here. It's going to be a lot of fun, rockets, alcohol, good music and nice people, all you could ask for. Formy new year's resolutions I told my girlfriend I'm going to have more sex than the year 2008 and I'm going to buy a leather whip, didn't define what kind of one, but it's probably going to be one like Indy has. She said it soudns nice. I'll be back at 0:00 or later in 2009 :D

I am just preparing to go to a party held up at my classmate's apartment. It's 16:30 here and I hope the party will be worth coming there. I hope it doesn't end up with everyone totally stoned and me bored as hell as the only non-drinker, as it often does.  :-\

Anyway, happy new year to everyone. May it be even better than the last one was.

Happy New Year, boys and girls.

I have nothing to do... Kinda sucks.  All my mates are doing their own thing with girlfriends or other people from different social circles and the only thing I've been invited to is my uncle's party, but he lives some way away and I can't get there coz I have no car at the moment.  The only other option is going up the local village club, but that is always an embarassing excuse for a night out.

(Was right after a bump and a hard right and it was only enough room for one car and it was bloody slippery! damn ice! :P. luckely I werent driving fast and I only managed to remove some of the "paint"... Good morning, folks and folkettes, I'm glad that everyone's enjoyed or is well on their way to enjoying the new year. I myself just woke up. Honestly, my whole 'new year' party was pretty sedate, considering I was the only one involved. The girlfriend's in Korea, family's back in the States and friends are all either in their respective countries of origin, or spending it with their families (As is tradition in Japan).

But that isn't to say I didn't enjoy myself. The first 6 hours of the new year were spent spriting (See the current Sprite Jam) and intermittently watching Mythbusters and replaying Half Life 2. Today, I will likely go back to sleep for a while, get up, exercise, make lunch, then watch a DVD. I might go out for a walk as well, but most stores are closed here today.

About saying Happy New year, 新年おめでとうございます (Shin-nen Omedetou Gozaimasu) works, but you're most likely to hear 明けましておめでとうございます (Akemashite Omedetou Gozaimasu), or it's shortened and more punchy version, 明けオメ (Ake-ome).

And as a bonus, for the Korean-speakers out there, 새해 복 많이 받으세요 (Sehe Bok Mani Baduseyo)!

Happy New Year motherfuckers!  :D

It has just gone 2am and I am already wishing it could be 2008 forever. Last New Years was much more awesome. I spent it with my two best friends in the UK with Grolsh and Indian takeaways and watched an ex-Beatle and some other notables on the televised countdown and did the whole Auld Lang Syne thing.

This year I worked 10 hours between two different jobs and watched Dick Clark doing some weird impression when I found out he actually had a stroke in the last couple years I did not hear about, all while rocking out balls to the wall with Miller High Life. Oh well I always see the worst in others it seems :P

2009 will most likely be an economically hard year for the world, so I'm sure people will be missing 2008 more as time passes.  Yay!

2pm the morning after, and while I hurt, it was an awesome new year's party. A friend of mine lives in a big former office building (as a way to prevent squatting, they simply rent out part of these empty buildings officially - cheap living and no vandalism = good for owner :P) and we spent the 00:00 moment on the roof, watching our town explode with fireworks.

Best. View. Ever.

Happy new year to y'all, and I hope that 2009 will be a good year for everyone :)

My first crap in 2009 smelled like black powder. :o

Anyways, been out until 6 in the morning, armed mostly with a 0.7L bottle of Captain Morgan. 'Twas okay.

Happy [pretty late] New Year's! Sure, I don't post here much, but I am always lurking. 21 June '06? Really? And half of that was inactivity. I shall have to do better next year. Oh yeah, I forgot to add what I meant to. Just that 2008 was a super crap year, so here's hoping for a great 2009.
