Happy new year, folks.
It wasn't all good, but at least it was consistant.
I give it a 7 on the scale of Awesomeness.

What are your thought?

Domino

I still have 5 hours to go. You're in the future.  :)

dasjoe

... it's quite easy being the best.

Happy new year to all, who live in GMT+. And to those, who still have time to go, too.

2007 was a good year for me. Let's hope that 2008 will be as good ... or even better!

Arboris

Not a bad year, finished my studies and had a relaxed and peacefull life this year. Hope 2006 will be more of the same

*edit*
And ofcourse: happy new year to you all

2007 sucked mostly hardcore. Atleast in Estonia, and in my life. But bright moments balance it well!
It was a good year in gaming though... much good things were released!

Much good and bad happened last year:
My top 6 - Bad

* Russian vandalist rebellion in Tallinn (also my hometown, our Capital) in April
* My personal life sinked to its lowest point :(
* I decided not to graduate this year yet

Good:
* I teamed up with Aussie and G to bring Henri to an end
* I discovered NeoAxis engine, the find of a year
* I remembered why I love demoscene SO much (link fixed, you GOTTA see this)

Being in 2008 for 2h 52 minutes now, I wish everyone happy new year!

InC, you into demoscene? Wow, that is cool! I also love demoscene stuff.

And 2007 sucked for me too. Maybe its because I also live in Estonia, who knows. But its lame to blame it all on country... I truly truly hope that 2008 will be better. And best wishes to all of you out there who think the same and stuff! Happy new year!
I am just a shallow stereotype, so you should take into consideration that my opinion has no great value to you.

It was a strange year, but I wouldn't call it a bad one and since I live in Estonia too, I suppose it's more your fault than the countries :)

Anyway, happy new one.

And I also love the demoscene.

LimpingFish

2007 rates a 3 - 3.5 on my awesomeness scale.

But I'm very hard to please.

Ghost

With 0 being dead and 10 being top of the world, king of the hill, 2007 gets a 6 by me, so not too bad.

Got a new career start, had a great internship, relaunched one and finished another game. Plus, got two kittens.

Lost my girl though, mostly due to the new career start, and my old doggie.

Also, I do *not* forgive 2007 for The Grudge 2, The Golden Compass, Spider Man 3 and XMen 3.

2007

Good:
* Many girlfriends (not at once mind you)
* Wasn't lonely
* Had lots of fun

Bad:
* Many girlfriends (not at once mind you)
* Clinical depression
* Got into car accident (however it did get me somewhere with my girlfriend at the time :))

All in all 2007 was a good and a bad year, although mostly good. I had a lot of fun and even at the worst of times I felt things were gonna change. So far 2008 sucks. I'm lonely and drunk, and I've been cleaning up other peoples vomit because people don't know how to hold their liquor. Hopefully it will change. Also mandatory army this year, which pretty much ruins the whole year for me.

Renal Shutdown

Worst. Year. Ever.

(That I've personally experienced).

Vel

It was a swell year for me personally, out of 10 I'd give it a 7.5-8
Things are progressing... :)

radiowaves

Every year I read comments like "Bad year" etc, so according to statistics, its going to be worse. And one great mind once said that life is horizontal falling, so...

2007 will go down in my books because it was the year I spent time in Japan.
Yeh, I've had a great year, but I feel there are better to come... which is uncharacteristically optimistic of me.
I'm already enjoying 2008.

I think this pretty much sums it up. See..."life sucks". "Everything sucks".

I was just thinking about the title: "It didn't suck as much as 2006". Now how on Earth can we go around saying something as incredibly thick as that? Personally I think that as we watch each year turn round, out with the old, in with the new, we tend to focus on the things that made the year...what it was...for better or for worse. But all in all we always try to maintain a positive focus, nobody wants to have a "Depressed-theme New Year's Party! BYOX (Bring Your Own Xanex)". We make resolutions that we know we won't keep regarding things that went badly just to try and boost the positivity up one level higher...and try to put the bad out of our minds. Then...a year later...it's safe to think about how crappy that year actually was. We're no longer celebrating that year.

So here at the close of 2007 as we ring in 2008, it's safe for us all to think back on how horrible 2006 was, but we're bound by some terrible force to maintain positive focus in regard to 2007. A year from now...or perhaps even days (or hours...or less!) from now...we'll be released from this spell and we can all let the horrors of 2007 really sink in, but for now we have to remain positive.

No, no. It's 2:27 AM here (GMT -6:00) and I'm calling the bluff. This year sucked. The year before sucked. And for the most part, most of the years prior to that sucked. I'm not saying that all of life is completely horrid and pointless...I'm just saying that life majorly sucks.

I can look forward to the new year with hope. Hope for a brighter tomorrow. I can also look forward with a reality check. Things probably aren't going to suddenly undergo some massive life-altering change that will provide me with everything I ever wanted and more. Things probably will keep going largely down the same path they've been going.

Happy New Year everyone. I don't mean to drag you all down with me, I really don't. Life is simply forcing reality upon me a bit more than I'd particularly like right now, and I must say that I'm really not enjoying it. I also don't mean to sound like a horrible cynic, I'm just trying to be a bit...realistic. Life seems to want me to be, so I am.

So, here's to a brighter tomorrow then eh? :=

Radiant

Eight point five, probably. We're aiming for an eleven next.

ManicMatt

I don't wish to gloat on your mostly depressing lives.. but I rate this year as 10 out of 10 for me!

*Wonderful amazing Girlfriend (9 months and counting! Infact she's in my room right now!)
*Neat job managing a videogame shop that also sells music and dvds that I can borrow if they're pre-owned.
*Finished my latest album, which pushes what I thought I could achieve.

It's about time I had a taste of the good life, really!  :)
