So due to a misfortunate misread on my part, my new mobo isn't compatable with my processor, and since the processor is more expensive than the MoBo, I decided to get a new one of those...
the issue, is now finding a MoBo that fits the specs...
The issue stems from the fact that the MoBo I purchased works for Celeron D, not Pentium D (which is what I have) I just saw the D and well, anyway....
So this is what I need... PCI-Ex16 X 1, 4-240pin DDR RAM, at least 2 PCI (3 prefered), Able to handle DVD-ROM, CD-ROM and 2 HDD's (all IDE), ATX,Ã, and SLI would be nice, but not a nessesity (my vid card has the SLI chip with it, which I'd like to use, but if I can't find it, I'd rather have the whole computer working), finally an Intel motherboard capable of using the Pentium D 930 processor WITHOUT HAVING TO BUY A LOWER PROCESSOR JUST TO BOOT IT AND FLASH THE BIOS TO HANDLE PENT D 930....
Most of my research so far has brought up boards that need to have a lower grade proc put in it first so you can flash the bios to handle the pentium D 9XX series chips. Well unfortunately I don't have a lower chip I can place into the board so it really needs to be able to use the pent D 9XX right out of the box...
I'm reasearching more myself, but I figured if someone else out there knew of one that could let me know... It's really frustrating that a simple misread caused me all this trouble.
Thanks
EDIT: Ok nevermind.... I looked at my processor reviews and most people highly recomend http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?item=N82E16813131589 <--- that mobo... and I looked at the specs and it will work for what I need.... sorry to have bothered you all
