This doesn't belong in the 'Completed Games' forum.

Also, did you search the forums first?

I went into search and typed 'free hosting' and found quite a few results.

- Imageshack
- Posting a huge game
- Free Website Providers
- Webhosting Services Search

And there were many more.  I didn't check them out, so some may not be what you're looking for.

All of those sites you listed, wyr3x, are ad-ridden and slow.

www.sitesled.com is the best by far. (that i've tried. IllusionFX looks amazingly better.)

Actually, I kinda like Geocities :P. It's not *that* bad, you can try it and see if it works for you

Yeah... I applied for it but they had to deny the application. Strict people. I guess no-one can get a free domain name. Even if there are sites that say free domain names, you still have to pay for it. Wierd. Maybe try www.netfirms.com

But everyone needs to stay away from freewebs.com, especially if you plan to upload downloadables.
Yeah, they have some fun templates, but it's so...  slow....

You really cant call free things crap untill you try them, do you know how much bandwidth these people are letting the world use up?
I say spend a few bucks to rent a server, or just go with the above mentioned

exactly what i was going to say: you can find a domain, a hosting, etc. but the bandwidth is not very good ... i guess we`ll have to wait for a miracle ...    :'(

:o You know, I just realised I've been searching for a perfect free hosting site for years, and i do mean years, and then, out of the blue, at least 3 great looking hosting services! With my long serches through the sea of hosting providers, I found that there is always a catch, most commonly that .zip or .rar files aren't allowed, or there is a file size limit that gets in the way. However, sitesled clearly states there is no file size limit, and the other two don't like they have such restrictions either. Where were these gems? :P

As for payed hosting, someone once pointed me to a really cheap one, only about 3 buck it was I think, and with very good terms, though no domain name. I never really sought after a domain though ;). I can't find it atm, and thise free ones look better anyway.

edit: As always, I knew there must be a catch. Advantage host is for UK residents only. It just asks for postal code and house number though, I bypassed that easily, however, instead of ads, you need to earn 'points' to keep your site, by registering for some free prize draws etc. These, consequently, are for UK residents only. :/

I know a great place for a site and a domain name. Its about 80 dollars for a year, 130 dollars for 2 years. You get a cool domain name like www.Adventuregames.com or something. You get a very easy to use and easy to customize, it comes with a main page and up to 5 supporting pages.

        www.verisign.networksolutions.net

It might just be verisign right now the site changed. But anyway try those out if youre willing to pay. You can also spend 30 dollars on a domain name and then get the site free somewhere else, but your best bet is there. Great service, very professional, cool sites.
