I've suddenly remembered a TV series, I used to watch sometimes when I was little.
It's about a genius 20-something, guy named something like Jarod or Jared, who was being kept in an area 51-like laboratory and tested for intelect since being a child and till the adulthood, when he ran away. And now he's fugitive, running from a grup of a femme-fatale-looking woman, a baldy nerdy guy and probably some other guys.
In each series the protagonist usually comes into a new town, sees something happening, maybe some injustice and saves the day, mysteriously dissappearing, leaving the today's moral, blah blah blah. What I liked about it that his "special power" was that he could try on any profession and after just a very little practice, do the work perfectly. I think it unfluenced me very much. Also, he sometimes gets some black and white flashbacks about his laboratory childhood.
I was pretty sure that the series were called "Emulator", but Google, answers.com, Wikipedia and imdb don't seem to agree with me on this. So, could you please check your memory slots for this kind of a movie? It's for Lionmnokey's sake.
The Pretender?
Yes, that's it thanks alot, R4L, for the quick answer! I dig it how collective conciousness works in forums.
Wow, I wish I had caught this show when it was originally aired. I was 14-18 during its run (1996-2000) and it would've made an impression on me for sure. It was inspired by serial impostor Ferdinand Waldo Demara, according to Wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Pretender_(TV_series)).
