Got this for DOS and using DOSbox to play. Unfortunately, after finishing the second job in New Washington I need some "protection codes" to proceed or the game gets stuck.
I've searched and searched on the internet for these - no luck. Plenty of people have the same problem, though.
Would appreciate any advice you people have, I'm sure someone here has had the same problem. It's a beautiful game and I want to be able to finish it.
Cheers :)
Depends.
If you have an original boxed version, you need the Data Card that came with it - the copy protection codes are printed on it.
If you're running a cracked abandonware version, then (supposedly) just pressing "+" six or seven times, followed by "enter" should work.
Not sure if that's what you mean, it says level passwords:

but it's moby games and too obvious a search hit?
Excellent game though!
It's a cracked version. I tried pressing random stuff and it didn't work. I'll try the +s if this is different?
@Tramponline: Yeah, it's not level codes. Thanks though :)
If worse comes to worse, you can use the snes version.
You have to press the + as many times as the numbers on the card. This could be 5 or 6 so still a guess. Alternatively you can download the cd version (http://www.abandonia.com/en/downloadgame/823) which doesn't have this protection. Then you have speech as added bonus.. It's 85Mb though...

Call me a purist but I prefer the cartoon pixely cutscenes in the DOS version :). I'll try the +s.
EDIT: WORKED! :) If you keep pressing + it fills the code in up to the right amount of digits. No guessing involved.
