Hello and thanx for reading this topic... I will be very glad if you can reply.. My problem is this:
When i try starting a game made in AGS a error comes up saying:
"There was a problem initializing graphics mode 320x200 (16-bit)
(Problem: 'can not set video mode')
Try to correct the problem or visit the AGS homepage.
Possible cause: your graphic card drivers do not support this resolution. Run the game setup program and try the other resolution."
Please reply as soon as you can i would appriciate that very much.. ;D ;D
My friend has this same problem.
Just open up the game's Setup program and set the resolution to 640x400 and try if the game works then. Also you obviously need to update your graphic card drivers.
hmm.. but my computer can't even find my graphic card so i dont really know what is wrong.. ???
There's a bit wrong then, yeah... but that's not exactly AGS-related...
Do you have any drivers at all for the graphics card installed? If you do, try removing them, ensuring you have a working set of drivers to install, reboot, and see if the system detects the card...
Also go to the website for your graphic card, and update the drivers...even if it auto-detects the card.
I tried delete the drivers as you said Ishmael but they still pops up all the time.. so i cant remove them.. :-\
Have you tried windowed mode?
YES... I reinstalled windows so now IT WORKS... THX GUYS FOR ALL ADVICES AND TIPS AND GOOD LUCK WITH AGS ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D...
:D :D :D :D :D
yay! Everyone is happy!
