Here I come again... So, I have an ADM Athlon 3000+ onboard my laptop. Very good. The only problem is that it's running at 797MHz. The settings are wrong, but I do not know where to change them. Well, I reckon it be the BIOS, but in this computer's BIOS there are no options to tweak the processor speed. Or, they are just hidden, and I cannot find them. Anyone know how to bring up these options or something? I'm not completely sure, but this notebook's model is something like HP Compaq nx9105, in case that helps out.

I ran cpu-z to check the processor, and it reported a multiplier of 4, HTT (some have FBS here?) of 199.5MHz, and the bus speed was grayed out. Any ideas?
I used to make games but then I took an IRC in the knee.

A lot of people have this sort of thing happen with the AMD Athlon XP processors, it is usually a matter of changing a FSB multiplier switch position on the motherboard. I don't know how a laptop's motherboard would be different but hopefully you have a switch somewhere if there's nothing you can do to the BIOS.

This page may be of some help, there's a sticky about this and several other threads. I have a similar thing in that my 2600+ is only running at 1.14 GHz, not the 1.9 or whatever it's supposed to, but I hope to fix that soon.
