I've been coming here and just kind of looking around for the past couple years. But I finally decided, what the heck, I'll join! I really enjoy adventure games (especially the older stuff, like sierra's games), although I only have a modem so I haven't really played any of the huge ones. I also downloaded the system itself but really couldn't figure it out... How's everone doing tonight?
Welcome.
But guess you missed this.

JUST KIDDING. Welcome :)
Welcome Dizzy and please enjoy your stay here with us. :)
Sheesh!!
Not reading the rules in the Games in Production board AND not reading the stickies in here either ... way to make a splash!
Welcome anyway.

How should you know? Even though the door is wide open doesn't mean anybody can walk in and grab a beer from the fridge.
:P
Thanks guys. =)
Where are the majority of the people on here from?
USA and UK i'd say.
and Ishmael, WTF?
/me puts his beer back.

Also there is a world map of AGS. You can see how many people there are in some parts of the world.

You need to zoom in (about half of the zoom level) to see the usernames and flags.
Fluke, lookup teh dictionary for 'humour' and 'sarcasm' and maybe a few others of the same effects.

Zoom teh in.
Hehe I like how Barbarian is so close to me but like DG, he has his own undersea base. :=
It is still fun that this thread had partly become another agsmap discussion now. ;)
Hah, well, England sure is crowded.
And...
I noticed that Ishmael and Haddas are the nearest to me from foreign people from the AGS board.
You poor poor man...

They're catching on to me...
Actually I'm more thinking that the Herculean Effort Production's secret project will have to be more vigilantly guarded. :)
It appears that I'm closest to ProgZmax and Sylpher, and then Geoffkhan and YakSpit.

Why do I still see no flags?

Are you in flag adding mode? Have you zoomed in enough?
If both checks turn a negative result, then you probably just suck ._.
What do you mean, nikolasideris?

Zooming to over the half makes the map x'ed out, so...
But anyway, Dizzy Dancer, I feel stupid for not saying it before, but welcome!

Seems to me your connection is at fault or else your computer may not be able to keep up with the leeching software that is google maps.
Or he's zooming in in Sattellite mode into a part that doesn't have Sattellite coverage, like the Ocean. Try switching to Map mode and then zoom in slowly so you know you're zooming into the right area.
Thanks, Guybrush. =)

Just that this thread has completly changed subject, and from "how is everybody doing tonight", has gone to "where are the flags in the map".
Just that...

Not quite. If no satellite coverage is found for that area for that level, all that is shown is a message saying something to the effect of "Sorry, no image of this zoom level is available for this area", and using the map mode to go "too near" gives red ex's. Just go to map mode and zoom, say, half way in on the zoom scale above england, and if you see no flags, and you are sure the url you are in doesn't end in "mode=add" or something like that, something seems to be wrong...
Hello DizzyDancer. Time that I reply too!
/me looks all brave and shit
