Title: Holy YES-ness!

I knew it was coming, but I'm so damn excited to see it! The 3D models are a bit queer looking (not the homosexual kind of queer) but I still cannot wait!
;D ;D ;D

:-\ yes the 3d does look queer ._.  I thought it was going to be 2d for some reason..
although i'm sure it will be a 'whimsical miasma of fur-flying action, hare-pulling puzzles, and unnerving cross-species jocularity' indeed.

Actually, I like how the 3D looks. Sam and Max's character models look a bit weird. They may alter them before the game comes out. If not, I can get used to it. The environments are great looking, though. Looks like they'll have plenty of funny little details, just like the art in the comics. The trailer has me wishing for a Sam and Max movie once again.

OOh! 3d Adventure Comedy. Lets fucking hope so!

And does this character resemble one of our board members or what???

I think the 3D looks amazingly well done, especially compared to certain other 3D 'adventure' games. The trailer is great (does anyone know if they got the same voice actors? Sure sounds like it) and I have the feeling that although it's in 3D, it won't be some sort of Tomb Raider-y crap that has been passed off as 'adventure' before, but instead an actual point and click sort of game.

Here's hoping they have a new, improved version of highway surfing!

it looks like claymation, which is great for sam & max... the models need some polishing, but it's all good!

Oh man oh man oh shit oh shit oh shit.  I just saw the trailer, and I'm much much more excited than I was earlier today.  I'm still not crazy about the character models (or the Sam and Max logo on the DeSoto, which is too crisp and clean), but I'm confident that in a year those things will be improved.  Other than that, it looks like they hit the atmosphere right on.  The style, the music, the characters--unless LA seriously messes us (which is a possibility I suppose), this is going to be a welcome change from recent fare.

gah, I hate to say this 'again'....

But I think the concept art looks soooo good!
Why don't they make a game like that  :-[

Oh well, this probably will be a great adventure and I shall be happy :)

It looks cool. The characters obviously will get refined before the games is out. I hope the softy soft renderer will be rethough also. Oh well.

NIFTY!

We haven't seen how it will be played though.

Ah, that trailer is so, so good.  If they keep up that level of humour in the game I'll be very happy.

I thought exactly the same.
A game with that artwork would be awesome!
but at least it seems they aren´t going to make it a more action game like full throttle 2.

Great trailer, but once again... 3d. Sigh.
I mean, look at any of the Sam and Max comics and tell me they don't look hella better. Imagine a nice high res game with art of that quality. Come ON.  >:(

Or imagine a comic book in fully rendered 3D!!!!

The concept art looks awesome. I wish the game had graphics like that.  Sam looks alright in 3d but Max... I wish it was 2d. Anyway, I think Sam and Max will never be matched by any sequel.

and the Genre tag in the game info section says adventure

the genre tag for Full Throttle says Action Adventure...

so they feel the need NOT to add action to the genre... very very interesting

I love the trailer more and more each time I watch it. There's so much detail. I especially like how when Sam and Max are looking out the window, they watch the tiny versions over themselves run across the screen. It just looks so funny.

it's the same when they make a real life asterix movie - it just isn't teh same  :-\

I too would prefer a 2d handdrawn game, but they're not gonna make it so I'm glad they didn't make it bad 3d at least.

Besides, even if it is 3d they won't lose the SnM humour.

I like the concept art, it looks more like CMI than EMI,

Although I like 3d renderred backgrounds, 3d characters are yet to work in any game yet, with a rare exception of Norman Cooks

I like it (even the modelling) - even though Sam looks too happy for his own good. I always thought he was a lot more cynical than that.

Well, I'm a bit uncertain about this... Sure, it's Sam & Max, perhaps the funniest pair in gaming history, but it is a 3D-sequel to a phenomenal 2D-game, and that is always a bit suspicious to me...
I'll just refrain from giving a judgement before I've played the whole, mad, rabbit-swingin', car-bombin', loony ride of a game... ;D

But the concept art is another thing. Aroogha. Looks incredible!

I emailed Steve Purcell...

Hey Trap--

Thanks. I do have something to do with it. And I'm pretty excited about how
it's turning out. Hope everybody else likes it as well. Thanks for writing.

OMFG! IT ARES STEVE PURECEL! GET HMI 2 TEL US TEH TREU SERCET OF TEH MONEKY ISLAND!11!11!!1

Seriously though, if he's on board then the humour is probably going to be up to the same standard as the first one. Which is a good thing.

looks good, but the 3d graphics look a little "edged" (but sams hat looks great).

Ooh, maybe I will get all excited about this when I think about it, though...  ;D
I forgot that Steve Purcell was still on the team. (I was certain that it was someone else doing the plotting...) If things go as they should, SnM2 will be a great game.

If we can't get Ron, and we can't get Tim - Steve is our last hope...
