First off, wait more then four minutes before you bump a topic. We're from all over the world and may not see your thread until a totally different time of day.

Secondly, Hour Games haven't been done in forever. MAGS are what have "replaced" them. You could make a MAGS game in a hour if you'd like.

It's not that I'm against Hour Games, but please conduct them on IRC.

Hehe... My MAGS game: Veterans Rampage, only took me a couple of hours.  I wasn't around when the hour games comp was around, but if Veterans rampage is anything to go by, the games it spawned couldn't have been that good.

Most of the Hour Games were only one room with poorly drawn walk animations. A decent walk animation takes me at least two hours. They cranked them out in 10 minutes. And you can bet the stories were terrible. However, the IRC sprite jams were way better IMO.

Anyone remembers the link for that flash showing rules to people?

EDIT - Thanks, Al Ninio!

hell, most of you missed this one just by replying.
3. If you're not a moderator, don't pretend to be one. If a thread needs to be moved or locked, the moderators will deal with it.

How so?

The first two posts were from the original poster.
The third was Evil's, offering advice on how to post in these forums* and expressing his opinion.
The fourth was mwahahaha's, sharing a previous experience.
The fifth was Evil's, expressing his opinion on hour games in general.
The sixth and seventh were pmdee's, first sort of concluding the deal and then asking a question which is somewhat surreal.
The eight was mine, linking to something that might help pmdee become a productive member of the community*.

Who was pretending to moderate?

*This sort of thing isn't reserved for moderators. We are all users of this forum - we all have a duty to follow the rules, and we all have a right to complain when they aren't being observed.

EDIT - Anyway, it's not as though it's a big deal, really. I certainly didn't mean to imply that pmdee's behaviour was bad - just that starting many threads (and posting things like his last post) isn't the best way to go around.
