Title: How do I categorize a video game that constantly receives updates
Post by: BowsetteGamer on Mon 22/07/2024 04:09:51
Hello guys, how are you? Before the recent release of my video game update, I was wondering if I should advertise on games in production or finished games, because my game is playable and functional, "but it's a story that will never end." because I want to add more things, more mechanics as time goes by but I was wondering how it is categorized: in "AGS Completed Games" or "Production Games"

 ???  ???

If it's completely playable in its current state, and you want people to play your game, I would say do that in the completed games thread. Just write down a note that will inform people that the game will get more updates in the future.

But if with "constantly" you mean that you'll post an update once a week or something, people will get annoyed, because your game will always be on top of the forum.

I don't plan to update it every week, I put "Constantly" so that people know that the game is active, that it is not a finished project and ready, but it is true that you say the word "constantly" it is confusing, but yes, the game It is playable, it is in its stable version and it is complete until the next update. Thanks for answering me, let me change the game in the full games forum, one question, how do I remove it from the topic that is in games in production?

If updates come out with some reasonable interval (let's say every couple of months), you could also announce them separately as "episode 1/2/3" etc.

You don't. Besides, the thread might be useful to discuss the future in-development process.

Oh!! That's a good idea, thanks Snarky, it would never have occurred to me.

That's also true, I had a doubt because as you know the rules prohibit (as I understand it) having several posts about the same game.
