...You see him building a 13 floors high card house. Which by the way is my new personal record. Go me!

I look quite tired there...
Also, you know what's mandatory after such an effort:
Kick the fucker down! (http://koti.mbnet.fi/paapeli/cards.avi)
*blows*
Yeah, for that, I'll blow you too, anytime.
Wow, you finally found a use for magic cards!
Instead of knocking it down, you should have BURNED it down. That would have been more dramatic. :)
Your friendly AGS forum member,
Domino
Sod picking them all up again.
Now I know what is meant by 'The Gathering'.
I thought flipping off the cards after kicking them was a nice touch.
Not only are the cards magic, Pablo is a wizard.

nah, but that's just because he lives in a crooked house.

He built it himself?
Let's see you do it with the cards perpendicular to the rug.
Zooty, I'm not sure, but I think it could be the angle that makes that card just perpendicular to the lens so you can only "see" the edge of the card.
Stupot, perspectivewise the shadow cast won't be the same size as the object, it depends on the light source, if the light source is directly perpendicular to the lens (say if a flash was used) the shadow would be just like a replica of the object's shape just behind it like that photo.
Anyway, I'd rather not question whether it's real or not, especially when I couldn't even stack one with 5 levels. :=

Hmmmmmmm indeed. If you're seriously doubting the reality of this I do have a lot more photos and an extra video file to show you... :P
Zooty and Stupot: you have a point there. Now I'm convinced Pablo didnt build that... it was the government! ¬¬
Hmmmmmmm...
...nah I'm just kidding ;D. I can see it's real. It's just that you've managed to capture a couple of interesting optical illusions that make it look doubtful. I'd see it as an even greater feat if you'd built it leaning against the wall... that would defy gravity... probably.

Yeah, well, I've got pictures from inside the Pentagon too! I could show them, but you wouldn't believe me anyway.
Nobody disputes the presence of glue in the photo!
Isn't glueing it all together more difficult than building it without a glue ?
Judging from Pablos expression he did use glue, but not on the cards.
MWHAHAHAHAHAHAHA !!!!
Indeed. Man, I can't stop laughing ! ;D

Dude, I just watched the video of the tower falling down and its EXACTLY like controlled demolition..
Hello people. I am building a 20-floors high card house as we speak. To celebrate this happy occasion, I shall arrange a contest.
How to destroy a 20-floors-high card house?
That, my friends, is up to you! I shall pick the best out of all ideas and execute it! (That, of course, if I manage to build the thing.)
Deadline: SOON! (Today)
Catapult! (http://www.google.com/search?hl=de&q=how+to+build+a+catapult&btnG=Google-Suche&lr=)
Haha, it's like a thread about whether the moon landing was a hoax (which of course it wasn't).
"Look, the shadow couldn't possibly look like that!" :D
Good idea with that catapult, you can try to throw balls to the holes between the cards:
"how many balls can you throw through a 20-floor card house with a catapult without damaging it ?" ;D
You can even set up your new record in it!
I personally would hit it with something BIG to get instant destruction. Like bowling ball, or football, basketball. Anything like that. Bowling ball rules, but you haven't that home, have you ?
Ok, my turn. Set it on fire! that would make awesome destruction material. And would look cool!
yeh it has to involve fire....
soak all the cards in white spirit first then just light the bottom one and watch it bark.
Woof!
Fire won't be as impressive as you imagine I don't think. The fire will start and all the warm air will push the other cards around and it'll just fall down and kind of burn.
I assume he wants to build another one and he wants to keep the cards....
Would be funny if someone trips over and .... :P

Very true. No fire please.
I just finished the 11th floor. Keep the suggestions coming and stay tuned!
Acid? Bet you have some of that somewhere in your room.
I'd love you to drive through them with a bike or a small model of a police car. Either way.
Yes, fire is pretty boring. Explosions are the way to go. But be careful when manufacturing and detonating your own illegal he.
One thing could be to see how much weight your house can hold on top of it. Like coins or something.
Place firecrackers under the house, in the small "rooms" there!
fart on it!
If you wet the cards with alcohol, then everything will catch fire pretty quickly I reckon. Especially if you try and set fire at the same time in 4 different places at the same time! It would look amazing I reckon!

I do that every time I build a card house. I try different styles of houses and I try to beat my weight record.
I managed to finish the 15th floor. And then it fell apart. It was leaning too much forwards. :'(
Here's some documentary: http://www.yadapops.com/temporary/Cardhouse.mpg (Thanks to Petteri for hosting.)
Edit: I will try this another day again though. :D
Edit2: Oh, and this is what it looked like before it crashed. Beautiful, isn't she?

I love you
Awesome! *explodes*
Well, it seems that you are a really bored man! :)

You have no idea...
If you ever try it again. I propose an elbow drop.
The People's Elbow.
As much as I love this thread, I don' t know if it being the most popular one for a week is a good symptom for the forums... :-\

I agree. Instead of posting here, go show your condolences to Pavarotti, people! There are much better and more important threads around!
