What the title says!
I do almost every day. I can just about load the main site on my phone but it takes ages and canes my megabytes. So I'm grateful for the quick and light WAP version.
This is like the most boring question EVER!
I do sometimes though.
Me, never. Ever. My phone doesn't even have internet and I have no interest in it ever getting some. That's what a PC is for, after all.
I often do. It works really well, actually.
I do it at work to take a peek, what “the family†is doing.
It works really well, but typing is pure horror for me. (roll)
Im doing it right now at work. Nothing better than sneaking away to the bathroom and browse away :-D
I do, unfortunately I have a Windows phone. The internet browser crashes all the time!
Browsing on mobile devices is painful in my experience!
I do peek the forums often with my phone, mostly around 11pm when I have a cigarette time-out. But it's not exactly fun to do it.
Same here. I sometimes do it, when I'm away from the keyboard, mostly after I've made a thread or post that I expect to get some sort of feedback! I very rarely post from it though.
Yup, I would say 80% of the time on phone or tablet
Moi!
You guys browse the forums on your phone?
Fucking losers.

Yes, boring question, but I want to know for research reasons!
Thanks for all the answers so far :).
To those who mention that it's "not fun" or similar.
Any special reason why?
I do. Works fine on my HTC.
Except for the dropdown-menus like 'Messages', 'Actions' & 'Preferences' (once you're in the Messages section). That doesn't seem to work... :-(
I browse the forums through my phone (Nokia 6300) many times a day too. I'm with Tababta here. Browsing on mobile is only good for peeking into what's going on and/or shortly replying to PMs. Even with the predictability on, typing is a real pain! (wtf)

I don't know much about Windows Phone, but can't you install another 'stable' browser on it? :)

I am no typer of messages on the mobile, so I am not used to do so, but it is the auto correction that I hate most (or is it called suggestion function?), but it will be my fault being too dumb to do correct settings.
I switched off the auto correction, but no luck and even if I adjust to the language I am currently typing it changes to words that I didn't choose to be used.
That way I have to delete and write a lot of words again and try to avoid typing any messages on the mobile.
Just smilies are cool and work perfect
So the reason on my side isn't because of the internet connection.
But I sooo much love to be able to lurk the forums a bit and getting my mails when I am not at home (http://s1.directupload.net/images/user/130406/mgaynh2x.gif)

(Note: I'm talking about the WAP version here, rather than viewing the normal web version on mobile.)
I mainly use it for reading new posts. I don't really tend to send posts from my phone much. I do sometimes, but if I can I will usually wait til I get to a PC. The reason is that posting in fields from my phone is just a pain in the arse, but that is my phone's issue.
I like the lightness quickness of it. That comes at the expense of not being able to see images and formatting and everything else, but I don't mind that if it saves on my data usage. One thing that came up recently that I wished was different, was the fact that I couldn't see the dates and times of the posts and I wanted to see when a particular post was made.
there is a WAP version? When I used to browse the forum with my phone I always used the web version mostly to read and not to post as posting from a phone is annoying. And when browsing the web version it is very incovenient that the links back to the main page of the forum are all very small. The banner on top is very huge and clickable, but sadly leads back to the main ags page. But this is for the webversion, I haven't tried the wap version. So maybe making the WAP version more visible/easier to access when browsing here with a phone or make it the standard when browing here with a phone could save a lot of trouble for phoney browsers.
The link to the wap version is at the bottom of this page:
http://www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk/forums/index.php?wap2
That is the default version that loads up when I visit this site from my phone.
I sometimes use it when I'm out and connected to wifi. Quite fun to browse from phone :) Not so easy to type though on my galaxy "ace", I get lost and into typo territory when on this right hand side of the input box...

What mobile do you use, Stupot? The same thing happens on my phone too. I, however, switch to full version.
I try to avoid doing internet on my phone - not because it's expensive but because I just don't want to be checking my e-mail all the time. When I travel I bring a laptop, so I'll use that to browse the forums.
@Adeel - I have an LG. One of the ones with the slidy out qwerty keyboards that were cool for about five minutes (i still much prefer it to a touchscreen keyboard)

Yes, well, I really can't get my head around it. I tried it, but neither browsing not actual typing is fun- screen to small, no real keyboard, often bad connection. It's just that I feel browsing on the phone is in its toddler phase.
Tablets, well, that's a different thing altogether. They work nicely, and I actually use *those*. (nod)
I often check the forums on my phone, especially if there's a particular thread I'm following.
Like others have said though, I will rarely (if ever) post from a phone. I never feel like I'm in a rush to post, so I wait until I have access to a computer.
Didn't know about the WAP version, will try it out.
On my pre-historic iphone3 it takes a while to go back to previous pages if I make the (common) mistake of touching the wrong item/link. Magnifying the screen is a pain because I'm constantly in panic that I'm going to touch somewhere...
But, like I said, I mainly use it to check if somebody insulted Catholics and stuff like that. I wait until I get home and then drop my wrath upon AGS users.
I pity you people. I run these forums and I don't feel the need to check them while mobile, unless I absolutely have to.
I mobile browse as well, but mainly only the GenGen and Rumpus Room while I'm on break or lunch when there's no one in there with me or they're all outside smoking. I find clicking the little NEW graphic quite tedious each time.
maybe if you would stop browsing the forums upside down it would be easier!
Found out about Tapatalk (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.quoord.tapatalkpro.activity) today. Looks decent, and should make it much more convenient to browse / post from phones.
It just needs a plugin:
http://tapatalk.com/activate_tapatalk.php
I like Tapatalk, makes it so much easier to browse forums. Would be nice if that plugin was installed... :)
With the advance of Phone Tech, I'm sure the Forums will look better and better on iPhones and Androids?
I browse on my phone, and i have a iphone.
Count me in. I have a new phone, and I can easily see this replacing my laptop for my early morning news and forums browsing over coffee. I'm using the full site, not the "mobile" site.
In case people missed the other thread about the bigger text, AGA is working on getting the forums ready for Tapatalk. They are already listed, but it doesn't work yet.
I don't own a phone other than the one attached to my wall not even a cordless option. I do however read it all the time on my iPod touch 2nd gen but it's an old iPod so it us slow and exits the browser often due to memory issues when there are too many things to load. Also harder to type I prefer the laptop by far.
tapatalk is now installed. Please go here (http://www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk/forums/index.php?topic=47530.msg636476868#msg636476868) to discuss.
I don't think anyone truly answered this question, so allow me. The answer is 147. 147 people browse the forums on their phone.
I myself, part of the 7000+ members who refuse to do so. Beyond the obvious, which is that I barely browse the forums with my pc, I'm also against allowing my OCD forum behaviors to rule my life. You see, if I started accessing the browser through my phone, I'd have to keep checking and checking to see if someone replied to my previous post. This would distract me from other things, such as work or showers. Plus, I'm near an actual computer most of my life, so a keyboard is almost always a more attractive option.
