Post by: Dualnames on Sat 24/03/2007 00:27:21
Well, I did not know where to post this so move it if you want.
Anyway I've been trying hard but guess it's alll greek to me. And I'm greek by the way. So can anyone cut this video

to frames and upload the frames somewhere and give me the link?

Download Virtual Dub:

http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/virtualdub/VirtualDub-1.6.17.zip?download

When you've dragged the movie in there, just go and use the save as image sequence option.

you can even use media player classic, ive used it alot for video grabs since its so easy, no editing packages needed, just open video. pause where you want then grab. voila, done.

Virtual Dub as said before is probably the best, you can actually save each frame as a batch sequence.  So in other words it will save each frame as a JPG, PNG, BMP or TGA.  Virtual Dub also has a lot of plug-ins that are easy to use.

All in all Virtual Dub is one of the best pieces of programming I have seen in a long time.  It's a small program, uses hardly any resources, stable and most of it is free.

This would definetly be easier than capturing screens with Media Player Classic.

RAD Video Tools by Rad Game Tools is another free alternative, but it's not as flexible as Virtual Dub. I just throught it might be worth mentioning.
