Title: How to obtain a "Certificate of good standing" from Poland?
Post by: Mouth for war on Thu 27/06/2013 19:41:12
Hey. I have a problem I hope someone can help me with. My girlfriend is from Poland and lives with me now in Sweden. She's a educated dental hygienist and of course she wants to get a legitimation/ID for that here. One thing our National Board of Health and Welfare requires is a "Certificate of good standing" I guess that means some sort of proof that she still has the right to call herself a "dentalhygienist" and work like that in her home country. That she never did anything wrong to lose her license. Where in Poland would you get that? I'm having a hard time explaining in English to her what the "National Board of Health and Welfare" is...Thanks!

This article  (http://www.nil.org.pl/dzialalnosc/orodek-uznawania-kwalifikacji/zawiadczenia-wydawane-przez-nrl) might be what she needs to read, especially point 2. zaswiadczenie o postawie etycznej (which is the sais Certificate). It's an article from out Natiional Board of Health's website, and it's about documents needed by general practicioners and dentists to work in other EU countries. Says you can do it all via mail, no need to appear in person. The catch is they only prepare the certificate in Polish, so I guess you'd have to have a notary/court translator or some such do their voodoo.

Hope that helps :)
