So I've been searching up how I would do this process but today I came upon a site that showed how to do it but it was more of a coding a process done by scripting wind movement.

This picture is from this Site.

What I basically want to do is just draw up a more square sprite then a rectangular one in PhotoShop with grass so I can place the grass in multiple areas easier.

Do you mean you want to make animated tiles?

Icey

Well not much of a tile but more of a graphic like this.

I just need to figure out how to animating them in a wind blowing way. So this way when they are in a group/row/ or just by themselves they wont look so dead(still).

Hey there!

You're making things way more complicated than they need to be.
Animating grass is pretty easy (and shouldn't take you more than a few minutes).

Simply draw them frame by frame (for such small sprites, 3 or 4 frames should be enough). If you have photoshop (or gimp for exemple), using layers and opacity will make the process easier (because you're gonna be able to see previous frames). Once you're done, simply save as an animated gif.

PS: if you want your texture to be seamless, the "offset plugin" of photoshop can also make the process a bit quicker. :)

Humm I was kinda thinking of doing it that way but thought there might be a more accurate or easier way. Maybe that's just me thinking in a lazy way.

As for Plug-in's, I didn't know PS used plug-in's so I'm gonna check that out.

Thanks Berth.

You're welcome!

Even tough photoshop DO have plugins, that's not what I had in mind (my mistake). I was talking about a filter (offset filter).

Good luck :)

Warp tool? or puppet tool if you use the newer photoshops... or just draw it? Should be fairly simple.

Icey

Well I was thinking about selecting the sprite in PS the warping it's figure.
