In order to pull off an "I'm back" thread, you probably need to have gained some recognition in the community before you leave :P

And as Hotspot says, what's with all the money-making schemes? You're really going to need some killer content to pull that off.

1 question, who are you?

you see, if you had something like LT's avatar on your site, THAT would class as killer content

DG, don't be ridiculous, it's been two months.

Welcome back, friend! The community had wilted in your absence. We've been needing this.

Yeap, it's not even the day and I'm already pumped. Though I'm still waiting for "International Talk Like a Gunnery Sgt Day".

No exaggerated sense of self-importance?

Unexplainable need for defending people who post "I'm back" threads makes me notice that it can also be attributed for the sense of the forums' importance, not only inflated ego.

I think what everyones trying to say is you need more then twenty posts and more then a month of absence to be rememeberd

"...and more than a months absence to be remembered"?

So you say that longer absence will lead to more people remembering you?
I do not understand!!!?

In any case, the point has been made, and if there is nothing more to add to this thread than fairly new people joining into the "I don't remember you!"-song, maybe we should close it.
