Yes, I do. Am I the only person on the face of the planet who wishes, JUST ONCE, that Steve Siegal would get the CRAP beaten out of him? In every one of his godforsaken movies he does all of the ass-kicking and never gets hurt once, unless I missed something. Then again, I haven't watched all of them.
If I had just won the lottery and had 100 million to spare, I would spend half of it just to see Steven Siegal get his ass kicked. I would personally pay him, stage a scene where he is getting beaten up badly, and film it myself.
More specifically, his scenes are not believable. Am I to believe that there is nobody stronger than Siegal's characters? Nobody that can possibly beat him up physically? Are all of his characters some sort of superheroes? Yes, I've developed a vendetta against Steven Siegal and all of his characters.
Basically, does anybody have any celebrity that they HATE for a strange reason? I know this seems like another cliche poll thread. If you think it's stupid, don't reply to it. Otherwise, please do.
Yes. I hate Robert Plant. He looks like cauliflower, sings like a dying harpy and he writes stupid lyrics.
I don't like Segal either ... especially considering you can't really differentiate one of his movies from any others.
You might want to watch Executive Decision with Kurt Russell ... you'll be pleasently surprised I think.
Also, in Half Past Dead (his newest I think) he stars with Ja Rule.Ã, If you want to watch a movie where you'll hate somebody more just watch that movie.Ã, Ja Rule is such a two-pump chump!!Ã, I've never been less scared of a man with a gun.Ã, He looks like he's trying sooooo hard, but he still looks like a little wussy!
It's hilarious.
If I was the director of that movie ... I think about 1/2 way through making it I would have thrown down the bullhorn and said, "This just isn't worth it ... you can't polish a turd."
I don't like Keanu Reves. I hate Keanu Reves. A wooden board acts better than him.
Steven Seagall. And Sly Stallone to a lesser degree.
Ben Affleck. Jack Can'tRemberHisSurnameCreepyOldGuy.
*Gasp!* Pesty, don't be bashing The Zep.
Honestly, I don't think Robert Plant's singing voice sounds like a dying harpy... maybe Yoko Ono's, or Bjork... :P
Steven Seagal... I don't like him because all of his movies are crap, he's getting extremely fat, and I heard he beats his wives.
The one actor I can't stand is Paul Walker (I think that's his name... Joy Ride, The Fast And The Furious...). I just think he's a really crappy actor. He doesn't really seem like he has any acting skills what so ever.
oh man I agree with the Pete...
Led Zepplin is terrible which is partly why I enjoy I Hate Jimmy Page so much by Mindless Self Indulgence
I don't hate any celebrities cause I don't know them but someone I really can't stand is Dennis Miller he wasn't that funny to begin with but now his Uber Patriotism is just blarg
eric
oh and Colin Quinn

Yes, Steven Seigal can take a loooong walk off a short pier for all I care. His "acting" is terrible, and his martial arts are worse. Even B grade hong Kong fung-fu flicks are better put together then the schlock he tries to pass off as movies.
If you hate Seigal, then you need to watch Executive decision, only the first 20 minutes or so, you will be quite pleased with the plot "twist"

Ben Affleck
Seconded wholeheartedly.
What is with that guy? I've never liked him. Which is why I like that in Mallrats he gets arrested for statutory rape and in Dogma his head explodes.
It's just the fact that he NEVER loses! Just once I'd like to see Steven Siegal get the holy crap beaten badly out of him.
Heh, and yeah I hate Dennis Miller, too, at least his voice and inflections. He sounds like he's smarter than you and he's annoying as all hell. Wow, 7 replies in a matter of minutes.
we have a lot of hate
Seigal is better than some other guys, but he is incredibly lame. I think I only like him, because of all the worthy causes and people that he helps with charity and stuff... hes a cool bloke in that respect.
Anyway, anyone who can kill a group of guys with a creditcard that has a razor in it is cool... :P
See? That's the thing. How is it "cool" that a guy can never get his ass kicked. His character's aren't human, and I can't relate to them. I can relate to Ashton Kutcher's characters before I could relate to Siegal's. And before anyone says anything, yes, it is possible to relate to characters, no matter what, and doing so does indeed make a movie better and more enjoyable. I could identify with Neo to a certain extene, therefore I loved the Matrix. I could identify with Leonard Shelby in Memento to a degree (both of which have Carrie-Ann Moss and Joe Pantoliano, strangely enough).
And if I can't relate to the character, I at least try to find some realism in the premises and the acction. One of Siegal's movies was on earlier tonight and it was the same, cliche "I can kick your ass but nobody's moves, not even ANOTHER karate master's, will affect me in the slightest!" crap that I've seen before.
I hate 'im. F*ck the f*cking f*cker. :P
*Takes aim at Robert Plant haters*
I guess it's your own buisness if you don't like Plant..and Jimmy can go to hell.
I'm suprised no one has said Mike Myers, he has always seemed like a total ass to me because of his stupid accents. You're Canadian dammit, start acting like one!
Terran, is this the result of a certain Segal movie that was on earlier tonight. I was at work and saw it on.
I will say that I do like the Mountain Dew commercial with him in it. I think its funny, even the tenth time.
Aw but come on, Under Siege rocked!
Or maybe I just wish every year that a stripper would jump out of my birthday cake.

Yeah, especially if she was as hot as Eika Eleniak... ;D
Steven Segal? Hah, he is nothing compared to the horror that is Christopher Lambert. Really, browse through any DVD or videotape filled bargain bin and 80% of the crap you'll find in there has Christopher "can't-fight-can't-act-can't-sound-right" Lambert in it.
Evil has a name. It is Christopher Lambert.
I generally dislike all actors and actresses who play the same role over and over again.
I don't know who this Steven Segal is, but I do now I hate the following "actors"/"actresses":
- JULIA ROBERTS
- Adam Sandler
- Hillary Duff
- Jennifer Lopez
- Ben Affleck
- Lindsay Lohan
- Julia Stiles
- Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen
- That little girl from "Uptown Girls"
Oh, there's more, but I can't quite remember the rest. Perhaps I'll update this at a later date.
See, that's a pretty good list. I'd have to agree with it for the most part.
The problem with all the people you've mentioned is that they've not been picked for their acting ability - they've just been 'well marketed', if you will. They are the hip young kids, & kids feels as if then can 'relate' to them somehow, when this, of course, is a load of bull.
The Olsen twins especially annoy me - "Look at us! We look the same! We make sarcastic cynical tweenager comments & can make millions from puuting our name on crap! If we endorsed vodka, you know you'd drink it!"
I have to agree with most of Dart's choices as well. I only disagree with Ben Affleck somewhat. I hate him in most movies but like him in interviews - he seems brighter and more personable (maybe just less 1-dimensional) than his acting capability portrays.
Miez, what about Highlander and Fortress... those two movies absolutely rocked. Most of his other movies suck ass, but those were great. :)

Granted, Highlander is way cool, and fortress is ok. But compared to the vast pile of movie doodoo that he's made, these two films dwindle into nothingness.
Seagal's not actually that bad a martial artist. He's 6th or 7th Dan in Aikido, which is pretty damned good. He ran a Dojo in Japan for a while. That's fairly impressive. I study Aikido. If you're good at it, you really can kick some serious arse. Unfortunately I'm not very good yet. In theory, Aikido blends with the attack and then basically turns it back onto the attacker, so if you were uber good at it you shouldn't ever be hit. The chances of you being that good are almost nil, but it's a nice theory.
Not that I'm trying to defend Segal's movies or person at all, just that his martial arts, taken on their own, are actually quite good. They just don't lend themselves to the movies very well, because they're not flashy and, in general, don't really seem like they should work. They actually do, though. Honest. I've seen it.
His movies are generally very bad. I hired a box set of his just last week, actually, because I was interested in seeing how Aikido translated to the movies. We had one DVD in, took it out half way through because it sucked and put another one in while a friend was out of the room. He didn't actually notice that the movie had changed. Hurrah. And Seagal always sounds like he needs a throat lozenger.
As for celebrities that I really can't stand... Steve Irwin and Russel Coight. At least Irwin was original, and (to start with) genuinely stupid. Coight just runs around like a knob trying to imitate Irwin's success and expects us to laugh.
- Punch
I'd give you more credit for teh hatred, Terran, if you spelled his name right.. lol.
Yes.. I hate Seagal too. I haven't seen any of his movies,Ã, but from everything I've heard, and that Mountain Dew commercial, he can't act. Although that MD commercial is r0x0r.
But Dart!! How can you say you hate teh Sandler? Have you seen Punch-Drunk Love yet??
I have to say that I hate Paul Walker too. He can't act at all. Just watch him in Timeline, and you'll get my point. I also hate anyone who was in House of the Dead...
But how bought the ones I love?
Jake Gyllenhaal, Jeremy Davies (Check out The Million Dollar Hotel), Milla Jovovich, Tom Hanks.. The list could go on.
Oh, and Eric, somehow I knew you listened to Mindless Self Indulgence. They're great-sounding, but oft deranged so I don't listen to them much.
Um, Punch, Russell Coight is INTENDED to be an impersonation of the Steve Irwin's. It is actually Glenn 'uncle arthur' Robbins. If you didn't realise that, you are too young.

About martial arts... I think Aikido is the most "effective" one, and it really works as we see in Steven's films... the problem with their films is that many times we just look for entertainment, and in that case, I would rather preffer an "old fashioned" karate movie, like Jackie Chan's ones...
The choreagraphies Jackie does are the best I can remember, IMO, so good that the commenting the rest of the movies is just trivial for me (If you ask me, BTW, I don't like all the rest of his films :))
For every PDL Sandlar does, he does ten 'Billy Madisons'.
Pirate Jack: I realised that he was meant to be taking the piss. He still annoys me, though. I didn't really mean to say 'imitate Irwin's success'. More just 'imitate Irwin'. But I didn't say that. So... yeah. My fault.
And I guess I'm too young, at my tender age of 19, 'cause I don't really know who Glenn Robbins is. I do know that I've seen him before on stuff, though.
- Punch
Edit: He's on The Panel. Now I kind of know who he is. For some reason I never really placed him.
I used to not like Tom Cruise that much, until I saw The Last Samurai.Ã, I bought that the instant it came out on DVD.
Actually, the Russell Coight character is just a blatant ripoff of Wallaby Jack (though Coight sucks more). Which by the way was also another product of the D-Generation crew... :P

Yufster, you hate Jack Palance? Was the creepy old guy in Batman and City Slickers? That's good old Palance.
I despise Kirsten Dunst.
Jack Nicholson.
I can't wait until Steve Irwin gets his head bitten off.
I hate J-Loo
I hate the fact that Steve Irwin never started talking like he does now until he became big in America. He was actually partially tolerable when his show used to be just on aussie tv during the mid 90's... :-\
Actually, Irwin talked and acted that way before he got his own TV show.
Once my grandparents took me to Australia Zoo when I was a kid and I got to meet Irwin before he was famous.
WYSIWYG.
Having said that, he still shits me.
What? Billy Madison was a bad movie? It was simple comedy, perhaps a bit childish, but that was the charm of it! I loved Billy Madison!
And that Mountain Dew commercial was hokey and stupid. Slapstick karate is overdone...and in this case, not very well done. :P
Granted, terran, but Sandlar has the ability to do better than Billy Madison.
Yea.. Have you SEEN Punch-Drunk Love? :-p haha

I'm not a huge fan of Adam Sandler.
When I was younger (about the time that Billy Madison came out) I admit I thought it was hilarious.Ã, Now I'm to the point where I think it's simply pathetic how being stupid is so cool in America (can't speak for the rest of the world).
Anybody seen that movie tickets dot com preview before the movies where the three idiots talk about getting tickets from MovieTickets.com?Ã, Everybody in the theater laughs at, "Nobody told us going to college was gonna be hard." - or - "The R is silent"Ã, It's not even an original joke.
Maybe I'm just getting old ...

As for Adam Sandler, I thought most of his movies were great. There were a few stinkbombs in there (8 Crazy Nights, Mr. Deeds), and I haven't seen Punch Drunk Love, but I've heard it's horrible.
As for Happy Gilmore, Billy Madison, Big Daddy; I thought all those movies were great.

It can't be as bad as the train wreck that is Little Nicky.
Seriously, the guy does have some charm about him, but only when he's not acting like a retarded goofball.
I liked The Wedding Singer and Punch Drunk Love (and I've heard he does a decent job in 50 First Dates), but apart from that... there's not much else...
I just hope Spanglish is decent too.

Dammit!!Ã, I'd actually managed to forget that movie!!Ã, Now I'm going to watch Band of Brothers just so I can watch something so good it'll wipe something so bad out of my mind.
** DM puts Band of Brothers (part 5: crossroads) into the DVD player ... **
I don't care what you say Hyde. I know I'll never touch her. But the girl does about the same character in every movie - and i argue that even dumb blond girls vary every once in a while from one another.
I believe she played a redhead in Spiderman... ;D
My lord, how I hate Nicholas Cage. How I wish something big, planetary in size would land on him, crushing him and any (if there are any) little baby NC's. I hate him so muuuuuch! He just disgusts me. He's a shithouse actor in mostly shithouse movies, and any good movies he's in, he ruins. What on earth were people thinking casting him alongside Sean Connery in the Rock?!
I hate to defend Steven Seagal though. He's awesome! I don't like him as a martial artist or an actor as such, but he always plays great characters. We don't have enough infallible characters in the movies of today. Everything's gotta be so freaking realistic. Why not cool?? Under Seige and Under Siege 2 are awesome movies :) The Glimmer Man was fun too. More ass kicking! More cheesy, convenient story lines! As long as it's REAL violence, I wanna see blood.
Adam Sandler is... okay, I guess. The only thing I've ever really liked him in was Bulletproof.
I also agree with Kirsten Dunst sucking. Geez, I hate her. Ever since she ruined Claudia in Interview with a Vampire. Though, don't go thinking it's a grudge, she's just a terrible actress who always plays irritating stupid characters and... sexy? Attractive? Have we lowered our standards so much? -_-
Kinko, please keep in mind that "Attractive" is solely a matter of opinion, therefore there is no "right" and "wrong" in who someone finds attractive. Some like blonds some like redheads, some like skinny girls some like a woman with curves... please dont generalize or attempt to speak for everyone.
Adam Sandler does suck, most of the time. Punch Drunk Love was the only movie of his that I can remember liking, and thats because (IMO) he was finally playing a different character then in all of his other stereotypical-fratboy-level-humor rolls.

You're insane.
Yes.. Have you SEEN Matchstick Men?
Have you SEEN Raising Arizona.
Raising Arizona was great, and one of the few movies where Cage acted well.
Steven Segal, on the other hand, has never acted well in my opinion.
I also hate all of his movies.
I liked Adam Sandler in Happy Gilmore. I thought that was a decent movie.
I don't like Milla Jovovich or Anne Heche.
I hate Noel Gugliemi.Ã, Mostly though just 'cause he scares me.
For those who don't know him ... he's the guy that plays a scary thug in just about every movie he's ever been in.Ã, If you think I'm kidding, check His IMDB Profile (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0346595/) and you'll see what I mean.
Here are just a few of his roles (as listed on IMDB):
Latino Thug, Hood, Snuffy, The Inmate, Latino Convict, Gang Leader, Mexican Mafia Soldier.
If that's not an impressive resumé, then I've never seen one!
I like a lot Cage. Especially in Leaving Las Vegas. I saw that movie when I was about 14 or 15. Still one of my favourite love stories.
I think Cage is one of my favourite actors. Especially after I saw Raising Arizona for the first time, and then a heap of his other movies. You say hes a bad actor, like others have said, have you seen Matchstick Men, Raising Arizona, Kiss of the Vampire, Leaving Las Vegas...
It makes me sad when people put the hate on Led Zeppelin :-[

To expand on the question of whether Adam Sandler has talent for anything except stupid comedies, I imagine most of you heard that Quentin Tarantino casted him for a main role in his next movie, a WWII film named Inglorious Bastards. If there's one thing I trust, it is QT's casting.
